Dear Editor,
Don't know if you have heard, and I'm assuming not because there is no mention on your web site, that yesterday afternoon around 2:00 pm the Edmonson County Water District declared a Boil Water Advisory for all of Cave Hollow Bay and parts of Nolin Dam Rd (728). There apparently was a water main break in the area. CodeRed notifications were sent out at that time (though some people in Cave Hollow Bay who said they were registered didn't receive the notification). There are no other indications of a Boil Water Advisory on-line anywhere, that I could find. Nothing on the Edmonson County Water District's web site nor their call line. I called Edmonson County Dispatch to see if they had an update and they knew nothing about it, let alone an update. Don't you find that strange that Dispatch had no information on the advisory? I think this would have been an excellent opportunity for the warning message on the edmonsoncounty.org website but at this point, I'm not sure that it would have done any good because I don't know if Judge Cannon is in the know. Just food for thought. Respectfully, Charlie Peck Editor's note: After running this letter, we received updated information regarding how the system works. We've published an article that answers some of these questions and also contains helpful information. You can read by clicking here.
