Edmonson County opened up Wildcat Stadium Friday night to a packed house, but fell short of a win against a very solid Elizabethtown offense. The Panthers jumped out to an early 12-0 lead in the first quarter, with their first touchdown coming only a couple minutes into the game. The Wildcats attempted to answer with their only touchdown of the contest halfway through the second quarter.
E-Town led 20-7 at halftime and picked up right where they left off, scoring again in the third. The Wildcats made some good runs, but could never solidify their offense to gain momentum. E-Town scored again with just under four minutes left to go in the game, making the final score 34-7. The Cougars of Grayson Co will travel to Wildcat Stadium next Friday for a heated rivalry match up.
