The Wildcats faced their second loss in a row with a defeat by district foe, the Grayson County Cougars. EC showed some defensive improvement from last Friday night's loss to Elizabethtown, but had trouble again getting their offense off the ground.
The Wildcats were the first to put points on the board with a field goal in the first quarter. The Cougars answered with a touchdown and extra point in the second quarter, taking a 7-3 lead at halftime. The rest of the game was a hard-fought battle for both squads when Grayson County scored their final touchdown and extra point with 6 minutes left in the game. The Wildcats didn't recover and lost with a final score of 10-3.
The Wildcats will travel to Hancock County next Friday night.
