The Edmonson County Clerk's office has released the following information from today's ballot position drawing for the Primary Election, to be held on May 22, 2018. The results are as follows: Ballot positions for the May 22, 2018 Primary: Democratic Ballot, Sheriff: 1.Charles Pendleton 2.Pat Haycraft Republican Ballot, Sheriff: 1.Amanda Faye Coniglio 2.Kenneth R. Heath 3.Shane A. Doyle Republican Ballot, District One Magistrate: 1.Bobby Poteet 2.Danny Goins 3.Bennie (Buck) Simmons Republican Ballot, District Four Magistrate: 1.Huey Vincent 2.Edd Rich Republican Ballot, District Five Magistrate: 1.Josh Casey 2.Johnny Brooks Republican Ballot, District Six Magistrate: 1.Todd Vincent 2.James C. Wood (R) Magistrate, District Five: Steve Sanders (D) Magistrate, District Six: Chadwick Patton (D) Constable, District Two: Calvin Durham (D) Constable, District Three: Joe Carl Daugherty (R) Constable, District Four: Ricky Page (R) Constable, District Five: Charles Peck Jr. (R) Constable, District Six: Ben Minton (R) Kenneth Smith (D) Note: Clerk Kevin Alexander contacted the Edmonson Voice and advised that his initial release had the Republican Sheriff candidates out of order. The first version of this article listed Shane Doyle number 2 on the ballot and Kenneth Heath at number 3, which was incorrect according to Alexander. The Clerk confirmed the correct order is as published in this version with Heath at number 2 and Doyle at number 3. "It was an oversight on my part and I apologize," said Alexander. "Thankfully the Edmonson Voice was able to quickly correct the information."
