![]() Edmonson Voice Staff Local officers said that because of an unknown caller who reported a reckless driver in Brownsville on Saturday morning around 9:30am, they were able to get an impaired driver off the street. The Sheriff's Office said they received a call of a purple Plymouth Neon that was driving recklessly through Brownsville. A deputy was able to find a car matching a description and reported that the car ran the stop sign near PBI Bank. After conducting a traffic stop, it was reported that Tanya Winburn, 32, of Brownsville showed several signs of impairment and after field sobriety tests were administered, it was determined that Winburn had been driving under the influence. The deputy also reported that loose Oxycodone pills were found in the car. Winburn was arrested and charged with Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, Prescription drug not in original container, and Disregarding stop sign. She was transported and lodged in the Hart County Jail. She pleaded not guilty to all charges yesterday in Edmonson District Court.
