Chalybeate Fire Dept. Receives Grant For Pet Oxygen Masks

Chalybeate VFD is now equipped with pet oxygen masks.

The Chalybeate Volunteer Fire Department has just new equipment to their trucks that could save the life of pet involved in a fire.

Thanks to a grant provided by Invisible Fence by Hidden Fence System and Project Breathe, the fired department has received a kit oxygen masks in three different sizes specifically designed for small to large pets. 

"In the event of a fire or smoke inhalation, our firefighters will be able to provide life saving oxygen with this special equipment actually designed for animals,: said Chalybeate Fire Chief Daniel Johnson. "Chalybeate Volunteer Fire Department is excited to offer this new service to our community."
