So I have a question not a gripe or complaint. How do other counties win our county fair padgents. Don't they have their pun contests for the same opportunity to continue to state competition. That being asked I really don't understand it at all espically for the lower age groups.

First of all I don't get pageants anyway but its ridiculous that you only have a handful of Edmonson County girls in our own thing. If you're not from here you shouldn't be allowed in it and if there aint enough local girls to be in it then don't have one.

I am just curious. Why have we stopped giving our local Miss Edmonson County the opportunity to compete at the state level?

I find it extremely frustrating that very few of the girls in the pageant were actually from Edmonson County. I feel like if someone is going to represent the county they should reside here. It's crazy to think someone would represent us on a state level and not be a member of this community.

I'm sure these are fine young ladies but why have a local contest if locals don't participate? Our local girl should be going to the state contest. If the purpose is to raise money for the lions club wouldn't a talent or karaoke show limited to locals only be just as good? Heck, a dog show or a car show would work too.
