Children Placed in Protective Custody Darren Doyle, story:
A couple from the Ollie community have been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after Child Protection Services reported an incident involving young children to law enforcement. According to an arrest citation, two Edmonson County Sheriff deputies responded to a residence at Waterview Lane after a report from CPS stated a seven-year old boy told officials he had been kept home from school because he and his family had been in a car accident. Law enforcement stated that instead of an accident, the family had been victims of a shooting, including father, mother, the boy, and a 6-month old daughter. Deputies discovered their car contained eight bullet holes and a passenger window that had been shot out, according to the citation. Law enforcement stated neither the father nor mother reported the incident, nor did they seek medical attention for the children, where the infant had a puncture wound just above her knee, which appeared to be from a gunshot. A time period of 10 days had passed from the shooting until officials discovered the incident. Both the children were moved into protective custody and received proper medical treatment. The father was identified as Hennessy Richardson, (34) of Ollie who was arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse first degree (child under 12) (class B felony) and Wanton Endangerment first degree (class D felony). The mother was identified as Camdace Patterson (33), also of Ollie, was was also arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse first degree (child under 12) (class B felony) and Wanton Endangerment first degree (class D felony). According to Sheriff James Vincent, the shooting is being investigated by authorities in Shively, KY, a Louisville suburb, where the parents said the incident took place.
