Domestic Dispute Call Results In Meth Arrest

A Roundhill woman is facing a felony meth charge as a result of a domestic disturbance call on Tuesday evening.

The Edmonson County Sheriff's Office said they responded to the call around 9pm on July 25, 2017 in the 8000 block of Morgantown Road (KY HWY 70) where a couple that had previously been married were having what officials said was an escalated dispute. Authorities said that the caller advised that the female involved was under the influence of an unknown substance.

Angelia Lindsey, (44) Roundhill.

​Officials said when they arrived on scene, law enforcement suspected that illegal drugs could be a contributing factor in the dispute and asked the female, Angelia Lindsey, (44), of Roundhill for consent to search her vehicle, to which Lindsey reportedly granted.

During the search, law enforcement officials said they found methamphetamine inside the vehicle along with other drug related items.

Lindsey was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of controlled substance, (meth) first degree, first offense (class D felony)
• Possession of marijuana
• Drug paraphernalia-buy/possess

She was lodged in the Hart County Jail. Also assisting in the case was the Brownsville Police Department.

​A Class D felony in KY carries a maximum penalty of up to a $10,000 fine and one to three years in prison.
