Edmonson Voice Staff Report: The Cave Area Celebration was held on April 17, 2019 at Cave City Convention Center. This annual event shares area related information, customer service training and exhibits tourism activities in the area. Edmonson Tourism Commission had a booth for the county, assisted by volunteers Claudia Ramthun of Blue Holler Café, Vickie Walker of Chamber of Commerce Volunteer, and Sarah Martin of Mammoth Cave Lodge Other booths representing Edmonson County Included, Double J Stables and Horsemen Camp, Reed-Dossey Bed and Breakfast, Mammoth Cave National Park, US Army Corps of Engineers representing Nolin Lake and Friends of Nolin, and Green River Canoeing. The Great Onyx Job Corps had several students and an instructor who volunteered to help set up the Cave Area Celebration. “Their assistance was very helpful in making the Cave Area Celebration a success, said Edmonson Co. Chamber & Tourism Director Rhonda Clemmons. “We appreciate everyone who came out, and for the business owners and volunteers who helped make the day possible.”
Clemmons said it was a successful day with over 350 participants walking thru the exhibits.
