On Wednesday, April 1st 2015, Brownsville Police Officer Garth Avery received a complaint from social services in reference to a visitation issue that was occurring at the Cee Bee Food Store. Upon arrival, Officer Avery observed a male subject identified as Todd Clark, 39, of Bowling Green aggressively hitting the roof of a white car in the parking lot. Upon further investigation, the odor of alcohol was detected from the vehicle.
After several field sobriety test were administered and failed, the driver of the vehicle, Kristi Clark, 36 of Bowling Green, was found to be under the influence. She was then arrested on the following charges:
-license to be in possession
-no/expired registration receipt
-no/expired registration plates
-operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alc./drugs etc..08 or above (aggravated circumstances) 1st offense.
Todd Clark, the passenger, was also arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place 1st & 2nd off.
Both subjects were transported to the Hart County Jail.
Officer Avery was assisted in the investigation by the Mammoth Cave National Park Service, Edmonson County Sheriffs Office Deputy Jordan Jones, and District 2 Constable Tim Skees.
