![]() Edmonson Voice Staff Report The Edmonson County PAWS Humane Society held a public meeting on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Chalybeate where they introduced their board members to the public, delivered their mission statement and had a meet-and-greet with visitors in attendance. During the meeting, PAWS Vice President Scott Lindsey presented a certificate of appreciation to Edmonson County High School junior Deidra Lawler. Deidra started a Go Fund Me page with the hopes of helping the efforts of PAWS to bring Edmonson County a new animal shelter. The page has already raised $435. Among the attendees were Judge Executive Wil Cannon and Edmonson County Animal Control Officer Eric Roscoe. "We enjoyed sharing with the community what PAWS has been working on since June of this year, and how much we've already progressed toward our goals," said Lindsey. "It also gave us an opportunity to publicly recognize Deidre Lawler for her fundraising efforts for PAWS, and introduce more people to our new Animal Control Officer, Eric Roscoe, who is doing a phenomenal job for our county. We appreciate everyone that came out."
