A Roundhill man was badly burned today on E.G. Nash Road and air-lifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Devin Johnson, (22) was apparently burning trash when an oil jug he was holding exploded, burning his upper body, including his face.
The explosion caused him to suffer second degree burns on 28% of his body. Medical personnel were also concerned with the possibility of internal injuries from inhalation. No other information is available at this time.
Responding to the scene was the Bear Creek Fire Department, Edmonson County Sheriff's Office, Edmonson EMS, and Air Evac.
