Edmonson Voice Staff Report
A Lebanon Junction woman is facing a DUI charge after she was injured in an accident last night, according to the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office. Emergency personnel responded to a rollover crash on Sunfish-Bee Spring Road around 8:30PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 where authorities said Amber Hudson (29) of Lebanon Junction, KY was traveling west. One witness who was following behind Hudson's vehicle reported to officials that the vehicle was weaving back and forth, while speeding up and slowing down. Authorities reported that Hudson failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line, and exited the left side of the roadway. It was also reported that the vehicle rolled and came to rest while striking a culvert approximately 25ft off the road. She was reportedly wearing her seat belt. Officials also said that alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident and Hudson was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green via Edmonson EMS. The Sheriff's Office said Hudson was still receiving treatment at press time but most likely to be treated and released. She was cited for Driving Under the Influence, a charge she will face once released. Responding to the scene were the Brownsville and Bear Creek Fire Departments, as well as the Sheriff's Office and Edmonson EMS.
