The Edmonson County Sheriff's Office has released a statement regarding an upcoming event this week at a local ATV park. The entire statement is published below:

To the citizens of Edmonson County: This Wednesday through Saturday, June 16th-20th, Blue Holler ATV Park is hosting a large outdoor event called "The Redneck Rave." Promoters are advertising more than 20,000 tickets sold. Even if only half of those tickets are sold, our county's population will double this week, and that doesn't include the people visiting Nolin Lake, Mammoth Cave National Park, or area horse camps.

All branches of emergency services will be operating with all available personnel during this time period, so we ask for your patience. The last two similar events have resulted in numerous arrests, along with rescue and EMS-related calls. Due to the isolated location of the park and the trails, these calls can be time consuming and can require substantial personnel. As always, we are here to serve the county, but understand that response times may be longer than usual between Wednesday and Saturday of this week due to the anticipated call volume from this event.

The Sheriff's Office will have all available officers on mandatory overtime and have requested help from all available volunteers. The District 5 Constable will also be actively patrolling and responding to calls. In addition, the Sheriff's Office also requested the help of the Kentucky State Police and they have graciously assigned Troopers to work in our county. We have also requested assistance from the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, Mammoth Cave National Park Service Rangers, in addition to neighboring agencies in the event of a critical incident.

Both Edmonson Co. Emergency Management and KY Regional Emergency Management have arranged for a 24-hour command post to be set up in the event area, with advanced communication equipment and internet capabilities. Multiple meetings with Lincoln VFD, Edmonson EMS and all other fire departments in the county have been held so that we can be prepared as possible for this event. Many of these people are volunteers, so please thank them every chance you get.

To the residents and travelers of the Lincoln Community: Law Enforcement will be stepping up traffic enforcement and patrol in this area, in an attempt to address traffic concerns and other complaints that may be a result of this event. We ask everyone to be patient while traveling in the area, use added caution in heavily trafficked areas, and as always, obey the law.

To the attendees of the Redneck Rave: We welcome you to Edmonson County and appreciate you supporting our local businesses. We wish you happy and safe travels; however, there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for violations involving trespassing, ATVS on the roadways, alcohol and drug offenses, disorderly conduct, and/or public intoxication. Please enjoy yourself and this event, but also realize there will be a large law enforcement presence in the area and we will enforce the law.

Thanks to everyone for your understanding and support. We are proud to serve the greatest county in the Commonwealth, Edmonson County, Kentucky.

Respectfully,
The Edmonson County Sheriff's Office
