The Edmonson County Sheriff's Office has recovered what they say appears to be a stolen ATV from a farm in the Pine Grove community. Officials said the unnamed property owner discovered the late model Polaris 570 Sportsman ATV on his farm between Pine Grove Church Road and HWY 743 and reported that it had been tampered with. At the scene, Sheriff Doyle and deputies noticed that the ignition had been hot-wired. Sheriff Doyle said while there have been no recent reports of a stolen ATV with this description in Edmonson or Warren Counties, there was already a suspect in the case.
If you have any information about this ATV or other details regarding this case, the Sheriff's office is requesting you call their office at 270-597-2157.

How can there be a suspect in the case already when there hadn't been an ATV reported stolen?????????

Well, sometimes we do something referred to as "interview" people, get information, and apply that to the case, resulting in "people of interest", also known as suspects. We know who had the atv, but because we didn't want to charge them without having a crime victim, we are waiting til the victim comes forward, because of something we refer to as "Constitutional Rights."
