![]() Darren Doyle, Edmonson Voice The post-holiday celebration ended a bit differently than one Georgia man had planned, as he ended up in jail in the early morning hours after all the fireworks had ended. On July 5th, around 1:45 AM, the Brownsville Police Department, Edmonson County Sheriff's Office, and the Dist. 2 Constable were conducting a road safety checkpoint when police saw a vehicle attempt to turn around and avoid the stop. Acting under reasonable suspicion, police pulled the vehicle over and consent to search the vehicle was granted. Upon further investigation, police found the passenger, Jordan A. Moore, 22, of Buchanan, GA, to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana, along with several items of drug paraphernalia. ![]() Moore was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia-buy/possess and possession of a controlled substance-1st Degree-1st offense (methamphetamine). Moore was transported and lodged in the Hart County Jail. The investigation was led by BPD Officer Garth Avery and assisted by the Sheriff's Office and the Dist. 2 Constable.
