A Cub Run man was tasered after a foot pursuit, following a vehicle pursuit after he fled the scene of an active traffic stop, according to the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office stated that around 7PM on Sunday, June 13th, a deputy observed a silver Dodge pickup truck approach the intersection of Brier Creek Road and Nolin Dam Road with the driver not wearing a seat belt. In addition, the deputy reportedly observed a cracked windshield and then discovered the pickup's registration plate was expired. The Sheriff's Office stated that a traffic stop was initiated in a parking lot at the intersection of Nolin Dam and Stockholm Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Keith L. Huff (41) of Cub Run, and inside the vehicle was also a female passenger, later identified as Tiffany Stephan. The Sheriff's Office said that Huff reported to law enforcement that he did not have a driver’s license and he refused to provide his social security number to verify his identity. Huff was instructed to exit the vehicle but allegedly refused. He was given additional commands to exit the vehicle but he refused and fled the scene, the Sheriff's Office stated. Huff then allegedly led law enforcement on a 2.5-mile pursuit, at speeds in excess of 75MPH in a 55MPH zone. Huff then pulled into the 900-block of F.D. Meredith Road (Cub Run), striking a camper in the front yard, and then fled on foot towards the house, according to the Sheriff's Office. Huff retreated into the house and after deploying his taser, a sheriff’s deputy was able to detain Huff without further incident, officials said. Huff was arrested and charged with:
