Edmonson Voice Report:
A man and woman were arrested on Friday night and face multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Edmonson County. According to a press release from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling north on KY HWY 259 N without a rear license plate light. As a result, a traffic stop was initiated. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Douglas Sanders, (33) of Cub Run. According to the Sheriff's Office, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and saw drug paraphernalia laying in plain view. A search of the vehicle resulted in various forms of drug paraphernalia, suspected marijuana, and suspected methamphetamine, along with a firearm and ammunition, according to the press release.
