Two individuals were arrested in Edmonson County and charged with cocaine trafficking. According to an arrest citation, a Kentucky State Police trooper observed a black passenger car on November 12, 2025 at 12:37AM on KY-HWY 259N traveling with one headlight. A registration check of the vehicle advised the trooper to verify proof of insurance and an traffic stop was initiated, as stated in the citation. The citation also stated that the trooper saw an individual throwing a "large white substance" from the passenger window as the car continued to roll on the traffic stop. The passenger, identified as Rose Gregory, (43) of Mammoth Cave, and driver, identified as William Mills, (61) of Bowling Green, were both detained. Troopers retrieved the substance thrown in a nearby yard, which appeared to be cocaine inside a clear plastic bag, the citation stated. Rose Gregory told troopers she was the one that threw the substance out, according to the citation, and also said that it was cocaine. The citation also stated that Mills, the driver, said he knew nothing about the substance and did not see anything thrown out. Troopers then conducted a search of the vehicle which yielded several plastic baggies commonly used in drug trafficking in the pocket of Mills, the citation stated. A large amount of undisclosed cash was also confiscated in the incident, the citation stated. "Due the totality of the circumstances and no one taking ownership of the located items both individuals were placed under arrest for the listed charges," the citation stated.
