Edmonson Voice Report: A Louisville Road man and a Brownsville man are each facing multiple drug charges after they were arrested during two non-related warrant service calls last week. According to a press release from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the 18000 block of Louisville Road on October 31st in an attempt to serve a warrant. The Sheriff's Office stated that movement was detected in a building located behind the house and officers could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from that building. After officers knocked and the door was opened, they reportedly saw an individual with drug paraphernalia commonly used for smoking marijuana, the press release stated. The Sheriff's Office then obtained a search warrant for the property which led to the discovery of cash, drug paraphernalia, and suspected methamphetamine. The property owner, Michael Vance (49) was arrested and charged with:
Vance was lodged in Hart County Jail. The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the KY Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office also reported that they arrived at the 1200 block of S Main Street in Brownsville to attempt service of an indictment warrant on Nicholas Balford (39) on Wednesday, October 27th around 8:20PM. Balford was located at the residence and consented to a search of the home, which resulted in the discovery of suspected Gabapentin, according to the Sheriff's Office.
