What's Up With The Ammo Shortage?

Dear Mongoose,

Lately (over the past two years) I have had a hard time finding .22 ammo.  .22 ammo is almost like a life necessity, you can kill squirrels or have a good time shooting cans.  Shooting is a stress relief for me, I was curious on where you may purchase .22 ammo or what hobbies you do for fun?

Dear Pessimistic Plinker,

 If you want to get the most bang for your buck this Christmas, buy a gun. 
Blame the President, Post Office, EPA, Greenpeace, Illuminati whoever you like, finding .22 rounds have been tougher than finding a 185 Allis Chalmers tractor with a working 3rd gear. For those of you who have hoards of rounds, you are the problem and the solution. I look at the whole ammo shortage deal like I look at the weatherman hollering snow, milk and bread--poof. The good news is .22 's are becoming easier to find, check the interweb and choose your favorite supplier or check your gun store of choice. Chances are someone has them and prices have eased . Buy lots and buy often, problem solved--problem created. Time to go shoot some cans, weatherman is giving out snow again, should be fun.
