Bouter Mongoose,
I've lived on this same road for over 20 years and I have a long driveway with a big graveled area in front of my garage. My neighbor has a construction outfit and he often pulls heavy equipment and other trailers. He doesn't have enough room in his driveway to turn his truck around so he usually uses my driveway. Every once in a while was ok, but my grandkids sometimes play out here and I'm afraid somebody might get hurt. I've asked him several times to stop, but he keeps doing it and says "this is the last time." Do I shoot his tires out or what? Dear Constructive Criticiser, Private property is one of the fundamental differences between our Constitutional Republic and Marxism or communism. Don't know what that means? US--what's mine is mine, Commies--nothing is yours. It's deep I know but 20 years is a long time and undoubtedly you have plenty of YOUR time and money invested in YOUR property. I suggest you contact your neighbor in regards to a new construction project you'd like him to bid. The project? Why, the driveway modification you've been dreaming about that would prohibit one from turning around big equipment! At the very least, ask him to help you install a new sign that says "Private Drive, No Turnaround." If he is offended (likely), he will surely be apprehensive to do so next time. We'll See Ya, Mongoose
