Mongoose,
My neighbor has told her 5 year old son that there is no Easter Bunny. She says telling him early is the right thing to do, and that Easter is about Christ anyway. I've gone to church my entire life and realize the true meaning of Easter, but I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying the Easter Bunny, do you? Dear Elmer Fudd Buddy, Some questions are deep and shallow at the same time, depending on which side of the water you're on. This is an opinion column, I will give my opinion-- but first play devil's advocate. We take our children to church, teach them not to lie, teach them stories about people, places, and events that some (not me) believe are fairy tales and expect them to be the Gospel (pun intended). Think about what I just wrote and now think about the Easter Bunny & Santa Claus and the two most religious holidays pertaining to Christianity. Now that all the air is out of the room think of this: Easter eggs historically represent the stone over the tomb with new life ready to be born inside of the egg. Focus on this when your kids ask about said bunny, Easter eggs and etc... Not really sure how the bunny fits in and I WON'T tell you what you need to do here, that's up to you. Just remember kids grow up too fast these days as it is, and Easter basket grass has many uses--none of which come to mind other than destroying a perfectly good vacuum.
