Getting Robbed

Dear Mongoose,

I've been married to a wonderful woman for 9 years. She revealed something the other day that she didn't think was a big deal, but it opened up a real can of worms. She was telling me she saw one of our high school friends at a restaurant when her and "Rob" (a co-worker) was out to lunch. Obviously, I don't give a dang about a high school friend, I wanted to know why she was eating lunch with "Rob!" She said it was no big deal, he was just a co-worker, and that I was over-reacting. I don't reckon so...needless to say we haven't spoken in three days and I'm trying to figure out if my wife eating lunch all the time with another dude is cheating. What do you say?

Dear You've Been "Robbed,"

I hate to admit it, but I just got out of an extra marital relationship myself --lost 12lbs in the process. I finally sent Little Debbie packing, yep, no more sneaking into the kitchen at night, hiding wrappers, blaming weight gain on stress, it's all good now...but seriously, folks-- Has your wife ever given you a reason not to trust her?  If not, it's probably just a case of "I hate eating lunch by myself who wants to go to Denny's" kind of thing. Surely if there were something to worry about she wouldn't have volunteered to tell you she was with Rob. The question is, was it the cable Rob or the Direct TV Rob?
