Mongoose,
I work in an office environment with everyone sitting at open desks instead of cubicles. My supervisor sits with her office door all day while she sits on the phone talking about her daughter's basketball team, and the booster club that she's president of. Everyone can hear her conversations--except HER boss. All day long, my co-workers attempt to speak with her, but she "shoos" them away to my desk which adds more work for me. It's not fair...but I'm afraid that if I go above her, her supervisor will consider me a tattle tail, then life would be a nightmare for sure at work...Help! Dear Boss-Sits-In-A-Booster-Seat, They say good help is hard to find these days, I say help in general is hard to find. I'd venture to say there isn't a human being alive with a public job who hasn't felt a superior is undeserving of the title they hold. Not unlike Duke vs KY in 1992, sometimes folks just get lucky. Sure, you could tattle-- but if your super is not performing her duties my guess is, it ain't what she knows... it's who. Unless your cousin's sister on his mom's side's brother in law's high school drama teacher is her boss you may have a different kind of nightmare on your hands that starts with unemployment and ends with line. On the other hand, Obamacare, Obamaphone, Obamatuition, Obamacountryclubmemberships etc...seem to work out well for a lot of Americans these days. Up to you, but eventually the truth will be revealed, maybe-- just maybe there is an email or blue dress somewhere to shed light on it. You just keep doing your job, and doing it well. It may take a while, but good work gets noticed. We'll See Ya, Mongoose
