My Sister's Kids

Hey Mongoose,
My sister invites my family over for weekend meals quite often. She's not a bad cook and enjoys having people over. The problem is, her two young boys are holy terrors! They bully our elementary age daughters and tear up their toys/electronics, all while my sister and her husband act like they don't even notice! I hate that her misbehaved kids are driving a wedge between us. How can I fix this?

Dear Auntie Anti-Terrorist, 

We choose friends, careers, cell phone providers, but we can't choose our family.  Apparently you've never watched an "After School Special"...Every episode I ever saw had a bully and someone who stood up to the bully and they all lived happily ever after. Some even went on to star in a few movies that went straight to video.  If it doesn't go down like it does in the movies at least leave the electronics and toys at home. I'm sure your nephews have their own, if they get torn up--their loss.   Sooner or later you will have to have a serious eye opening discussion with your sister about her little devils, just wait till after she makes your favorite meal.
