Tahoe or Minivan For Christmas?

Hey Mongoose,
You seem like a man's man, I'd like your opinion on something. We are vehicle shopping this Christmas and I'm leaning  towards a Tahoe, however, my wife wants a minivan because she says it's more practical because we have two boys and are expecting another in March.  Should I put my foot down or give in?

Dear Mid-Wife Crisis,

Let me get this out in the open, I run things around my house--things like the vacuum, dishwasher, washing machine... Nothing says "middle aged man" like a minivan, it matches the diaper bag on your shoulder perfectly. Not to be a woman's libber (Jerry Clower reference) but I'd let her win this one...but a bow on the minivan this year. There will come a day when you will want a Jeep on Super Swampers, a Mustang GT, a Harley Softail or something in those categories . I say save up, save your win for that day, 44 inch tires aren't cheap but are cheaper than a 20 year old girlfriend or divorce. In the meantime get used to it, join the Hair Club for Men and buy a leather jacket, convertibles and bikes get cold.
