Mongoose,
What has happened to funeral home etiquette these days? Used to, you wouldn't even see a lady wearing pants but now it looks like a free-for-all. Anymore, I don't know if I'm at a visitation or a Jason Aldean concert. I get not every man wears a suit and tie and not all women wear expensive dresses, but good Lord, what happened? Dear Say Yes to the Dress, A simple, one-word answer: "Raisin'." Not the shriveled up grapes, but raisin. People these days are more self- absorbed than Sponge Bob Square Pants, and I put every bit of the blame on t-shirt and jean-wearing mom or dad. Can't say Mom and Dad because 9 times out of 10 there's only one around. Respect is not just a good song but is something that is not instinctual, it must be taught. Baby daddy can't spend 5 minutes to tell junior to pull up his pants, let alone spend 30 seconds tucking his own shirt tail before he walks into the funeral home to make a round, shake a hand then walk outside to smoke (or vape) and tell dirty jokes. You know who's fault that is? Baby daddy's daddy. Listen, when the President is on tv giving a speech to the Boy Scouts and talks the way he does, what do you expect? -MG
