Edmonson Voice Report: Team members from Graves Gilbert Clinic, along with friends and family, celebrated their latest expansion in Brownsville yesterday as the Edmonson County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting in their honor. While the facility first came to Brownsville in 2019, GGC has expanded since that time, converting additional space next door, which was formerly an eye care practice, to offer care to more patients. Practice manager Dana Woodcock said they are currently taking on new patients. "We now have six exam rooms, a triage room, and we're working with a company right now to get x-ray services in here soon," she said. "We'll be open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm starting in July and in August, we plan on being open 8am to 12pm on Saturdays." She said walk-ins would be available. Graves Gilbert Clinic recently partnered with Ascension Saint Thomas, a leading health care system with a 125-year history of providing care to the community, and is a faith-based, nonprofit health system in Middle Tennessee.
Earlier this year, the Edmonson Voice published a statement from Graves Gilbert Clinic that read "Located in the heart of Brownsville, the clinic stands as a beacon of hope, offering essential medical care to elderly residents, children ages 5 and up, and individuals who may otherwise face challenges accessing quality healthcare services." "The clinic provides services for primary care, preventative screenings, vaccinations, and sick visits. Our clinic stands out from other healthcare facilities due to the personalized attention each patient receives. The healthcare team in Brownsville is more than just doctors, nurses, or medical assistants—they are trusted members of the community. We make an effort to know our patients by name, understand their medical histories, and are deeply invested in their overall health and well-being. This level of family-oriented care is rare in larger healthcare systems, and it's something we treasure in Edmonson County." Chamber President Darren Doyle commended GGC on the recent expansion. "This is great for our area," he said. "We have yet another established business expanding in our community, which not only helps our residents, but also provides local jobs. We welcome GGC as a Silver Member in our Chamber and extend our hand to them any way we can." Karen Agee, APRN, is the primary care provider in Brownsville. They can be contacted at 270-975-8353.
