Public Notice Edmonson County Ambulance Service Board is accepting applications for the following position: EMS Director The EMS Director is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the Edmonson County Ambulance Service. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines; developing and monitoring yearly budgets; fiscal management; personnel management; quality assurance; and community relations. The EMS Director is responsible for ensuring that the ambulance service provides high quality patient care and service in a cost-effective manner. The EMS Director is obligated to ensure efficient administration of Edmonson County Ambulance Service operations. The Director will ensure Ambulance Service compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Candidates for this position should have these minimum qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a Class I ALS Ambulance Service • Currently licensed by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) as a Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paramedic • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree or equivalent work experience • NIMS Certifications: IS-700, IS-800, IS-100, IS-200 and must obtain IS-300 and IS-400 within 6 months of employment • Valid Drivers License from a state or territory of the United States • Must Pass Alcohol and Drug Screening • Must undergo a nationwide KBEMS compliant background check Employment contingent on Alcohol/Drug Screening and background check results.
