Letter From Goodroe Family Seeking Event Sponsorships

The following letter was submitted to the Edmonson Voice from the family of Christian Goodroe seeking sponsorships for an upcoming event. We've published the full unedited letter below.

​To whom it may concern:
I am reaching out to whomever I can to see if I can get any type of sponsorships in honor of my son Christian Goodroe we lost him to a fatal truck accident on 12/17/2017 he was just 16 years old we lost him just 8 days before Christmas Day and his 17th Birthday, so his friends and family put together a Show and Shine for Christian Goodroe on May 12, 2018 to help pay towards his truck etc. Well we had a great turnout for the short notice of putting it together we had 52 registrations, we had vendors set up, we concessions etc. So me and his father made announcement that day we would carry on the Show & Shine to be able to give out scholarships in honor of our son Christian Goodroe. He would of been graduating this year in May 2019 so we are reaching out to whomever is willing to help our event and sponsor this event. The event will be held on April 20th 2019 at Edmonson County Fairgrounds in Brownsville Kentucky 42210 from 9 am to 3 pm, registration begins at 8 am to 12 pm, rewards are given out at 2:30 pm. Spectators fee will be $5.00 and registration will be $15.00, will be having music, vendors, silent auctions, concessions, Easter egg hunt for children 12 and under, giving out 2 prizes for one boy and one girl we are going to be given out bicycles. So I am reaching out to whomever that is willing to help me make this a success, because I want to give out scholarships the first Monday in May at rewards night at Edmonson County High School Brownsville Kentucky. The scholarship application has already been submitted to the school counselor at the Edmonson County High School in Brownsville Kentucky.
