Darren Doyle, story: We love having conversations about days gone by in Edmonson County and we recently sat down with longtime EC educator and administrator Johnny Pete Vincent about some of those days. Vincent, a member of the Edmonson County Hall of Distinguished Alumni and the Edmonson County Athletics Hall of Fame, served as principal of ECHS in 1976, which was the year of the Wildcats' state championship win. He was also a gifted athlete, playing both basketball and baseball, and once scored 50 points in a single game for Kyrock High School. L-R back row: Robert Miller (mgr), Jerry Patton (mgr), Buster Lindsey, Billy Joe Meredith, Billy Carroll, Johnny Pete Vincent, Bobby Basham, Glen Meredith, Frank Ashley, Coach Kay Don VanMeter. Front row L-R: Charles Webb, Grady Hudson, Teddy Kinkade, Charles Hayes, Kenneth Meredith, Amel Tarrence, Gerald Meredith. Do you have memories to share about any of the above?
