South Edmonson Music Program Using Online Music Program Thanks to Stuff the Bus Foundation11/21/2025 Darren Doyle, story:
It may be hard to imagine, but South Edmonson Elementary's Bulldog Choir might sound even better after a grant has allowed SEES to purchase an online music curriculum that has changed the way the kids are learning music. Thanks to the Stuff the Bus Foundation, the online program was fully funded through a grant to the local music program, which is led by choir director Mrs. Jessica Doyle, who recently applied. Mrs. Jessica said the grant is allowing access to the same high-quality music education resources that normally only larger school budgets can afford. "Without a structured music program, our students miss out on the cognitive, emotional, and social benefits that music education provides," Mrs. Jessica said. "Thanks to Stuff the Bus, our kids now have a great resource that they wouldn't have otherwise." She said the online resource is called the Quaver Music Program, which is an interactive online music curriculum that aligns with national and state standards and offers an engaging equitable learning experience for students. Tony Rose, host of the Tony Rose Morning Show on D93 and co-founder of Stuff the Bus, said South Edmonson is the perfect match for the help they provide. "Stuff the Bus is about helping provide the tools needed for level playing fields in all our area schools," he said. "Our friends in Edmonson County are doing great work and we're happy to help where we can. We're thrilled to be able to extend a hand to South Edmonson's music program--even though they are super talented already!" There are around 385 students that will benefit from program. "The students' faces light up when they walk into the classroom and see that we are using a Quaver Music lesson," Mrs. Jessica added.
