Words of appreciation from the family of Margie Rone Self. It’s been one year ago today since Mama went to be with the Lord. I just couldn’t do this until now. Words seem so inadequate to try and express our heartfelt thanks to those that shown any act of caring during the passing of our dear Mother, but Tracy and I would like to extend our gratitude to each and everyone the best we know how. Gravil Funeral Home and extended staff: Dear cousin Roy, we thank you all so much for taking care of Mama. You always go above and beyond taking care of those we love. Thank you, Shelia, for fixing Mama’s hair. You did a wonderful job, she was so beautiful. For all of you that sent flowers, gifts, cards, text, calls, messages, food, Facebook comments and prayers, we thank you for every one. So much kindness and love shown to us during our loss and we’ll forever be thankful for it all. To the Pallbearers that were her most favorite guys on the planet: Tracy-Son, David-Son-in-law, Rocky-Grandson, Tyler-Grandson-in-law, Jonas and Noah-Great Grandsons, and Honorary Pallbearer-Daniel. Mama loved each one of you dearly. We love you all and Thank you! The Reading of the Obituary and Eulogy: Heather, you did such a wonderful job and we love you and thank you. Mama loved you so very much. To Kim Skaggs Madison: Thank you for the most beautiful casket spray and flowers for her headstone and vase. I love you dearly! To my Church: Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist (Dripping Springs): Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the many prayers prayed for my Mama and our family through the years. You’ll never know how much you mean to me. Mama loved all of you! We thank you for the food that was brought to our home to have after the service. We love you all. Thank you to those of you that paid a visit to Mama, during her 6 years as a resident at the Edmonson Center. We appreciate each one and are thankful for you. For all the beautiful flowers and gifts brought to the funeral home to us. For the Love we felt during our time of loss from those that paid their respects to our Mama, we Thank you! To Chandler: for coming to Mama's room during her final hours and bringing the spirit of the Lord with you. For the Beautiful singing and for sharing your wonderful talent of playing your guitar and harmonica. Thank you so much for the beautiful prayer. Thankful that the Holy Spirit passed by, I believe the Angels were rejoicing. You are not only a wonderful person, but a wonderful nurse as well. Thanks again my friend. Thank you to the Edmonson Center, ALL of you. The Healthcare staff and everyone there that played a part in Mamas care and well-being. You’ll never know how much we love and appreciate the care, kindness, love and compassion you shown her and to us during her extended stay. She loved you all and so do we. We are thankful for all those that came by the last few day’s and gave us hugs and prayed over us, it meant so much and gave us strength we needed to carry on. Thank you, to our Pastor, Bro. Jason Webb. Your visits and prayers for Mama meant so much. Thank you for the preaching of God's word at her funeral, she loved you and would have been proud of her service. We love you so much and are thankful for you. Thank you to all of our family that gave us extra love and shoulders to lean on during that time. That’s what family is all about, we come together when there’s a need. It was so good to have those of you that could make it, there with us. It gave us strength and love needed to help get us through. Thank you, cousin Sgt. Maj. Eric Smith for leading the procession to Dripping Springs, her final resting place. She loved you and I do too! It’s been a long hard year without her here, but we are Thankful that we know she’s resting on the other side of Jordan and some day we’ll be together again. It is my prayer that if you’ve never made preparations needed to get to Heaven, that you’ll humble your heart before Jesus and trust him to Save you. He will meet you if you fully trust him. With Love and Thankfulness, Sincerely, The Margie Rone Self Family
