​Nevada Herbert Vincent, age 80, of Big Clifty, KY departed this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on February 16, 1937 to the late Willie Jefferson and Sylva White Vincent.  He was married to Janice Logsdon Vincent, who preceded him in death. 

Nevada retired as a press operator from Englehard Chemical, and was a member of Vincent Church. 

He leaves to honor his memory, two daughters, Lynn Mourgos and Michelle R. Embry (Tim) both of Big Clifty; one grandson, Dustin Bond of Big Clifty and one brother Billy L. Vincent (Wilma) of Brownsville. 

Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

​Ric Skrovan, Sr., 66 of Park City departed this life on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.  The Cleveland, Ohio native was born on November 7, 1951 to the late Edward Michael Skrovan and Marguerite Ellis Skrovan.  He was married to Jane Brooks Skrovan, who survives. 

Ric was a United States Navy veteran during the Vietnam Era.  He was of the Catholic faith, and attended Park City United Methodist Church.  He retired as a truck driver, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— three sons, Rick Skrovan, Jr. (Stacey) of Raleigh, NC, Eddie Skrovan of Park City and Joshua Skrovan of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Skrovan (Mary) of Grafton, OH and Ralph Skrovan (Lina) of Cave City; three sisters, Rita Skrovan of Parma, OH, Patty Wincek (Steve) of Chatham, OH and Mary Babura (Denny) of Brook Park, OH; five grandchildren, Katelynn Skrovan, Brayden Koeppen, Cameron Skrovan, Liam Skrovan, and Coraleigh Skrovan; the mother of his children, Susan Lynch; six nephews; three nieces and a host of relatives and friends. 

Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

​Anna Nall Aubrey, age 70, of Mammoth Cave, KY departed this life on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN.  The Jefferson County native was born on October 21, 1947 to the late John Will Nall and the late Mary Louise Meece Nall. She was married to James Aubrey, who survives. 

Anna was a homemaker and a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church.  

Besides her husband, she is survived by-- one brother, Johnny Wayne Nall (Kimberly) of Mammoth Cave; two sisters; Shirley Lea Keith (Jimmy) of Louisville and Mary Cundiff (Wayne) of Elizabethtown; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Aubrey and four sister-in-laws, Zelma Carroll, Linda Vincent, Sandra Arnett and Wilma Judd.

​Kathy Johnson, age 60, of Brownsville, KY passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Bowling Green, KY. She was born on February 6, 1957 in  Edmonson County to the late Conard Denham and Edna Campbell Denham, of Brownsville. She was the wife of  Ronnie Johnson, who survives.

Kathy was a  Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver. She was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church.
Besides her mother and husband, she leaves to honor her memory— one son, Chris Johnson (Tonya) of Brownsville; one brother, Andrew Denham (Teresa) of Brownsville; two granddaughters, Briana and Sydney Johnson; one step grandson, Steven Hayes and one great granddaughter, Lynnley Stewart.  She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amber Johnson.

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

​Danny Stone, age 70 of Brownsville, KY departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his residence.  The  Warren County native was born on  January 30, 1947 to the late Elmo Stone and the late Ruby Montgomery Stone. He was married to Lou Ann Warnell Stone, who survives. 

Danny was an Army veteran during the Vietnam Era, in Army reserves and retired as quality control supervisor for DESA.  He was a  faithful member and deacon of Oak Grove United Baptist Church.  Danny was also a member of Edmonson County Cattlemen’s Association.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Derek Stone (Tiffany) of Brownsville; one daughter, Pam Childress (Scott) of Brownsville; two grandchildren, Caleb Childress and Hayley Childress; one brother, Ronnie Stone of Clarksville; one sister, Belinda McGee (Rodney) of Plum Springs; two nephews, Sam Warnell (Valerie) and Kevin McGee; two nieces, Jill Moore (Tony) and Erica Whalin (Jeff) ; several great nieces and great nephews.

​Samuel A. Alexander, 73, of Falls of Rough passed away at 2:15 PM Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at his son's home in Leitchfield.
 
The Nicholas County native was a retired General Electric Appliance Park employee. He was the son of the late Pete Alexander and Thelma Lowe Alexander. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Jackson.
 
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday at Gravil Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Monday.
 
Surviving are three sons, Sam Alexander Jr. of Seminole, FL, Tim Alexander (Becky) of Leitchfield and Billy Alexander of Gulfport, FL; a daughter, Becky Bootes of Seminole; seven grandchildren, Felicia Bootes, Leah Alexander, Meagan Alexander, Caitlin Alexander, Brianna Alexander, Jeremy Bootes, Tiffany Hampton and Timmy Hampton; and five great grandchildren.

​Clint Cook, 35, of Bon Ayr, departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born on April 24, 1982 in Glasgow, KY. He was married to Beth Honeycutt Cook, who survives.

He was a member of Woodland United Baptist Church. Clint was a former employee of Country Oven Bakery, and was self employed with Drywall Services.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— two sons, Blake and Tanner Cook both of Bon Ayr; mother, Marquita Cook of Bon Ayr; father, Barry Cook of Cedar Springs; biological father, Roger Carter of Louisville; one sister, Tori Vincent of Bon Ayr; grandparents, Leo and Bonnie Cook of Cedar Springs and several nieces and nephews.  Clint was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Frankie Bellamy.

​Ella Marie Saltsman Kinser, age 57 of Leitchfield, Kentucky entered into rest on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.  The Jefferson County native was born on June 2, 1960  to Vanco Saltsman and  the late Lenore Gish Saltsman. She was married to the late James Kinser, who was a faithful and devoted husband. 

Ella professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Anneta United Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a nurses aide, but will be best remembered as a good friend, a devoted and loving wife, a caring and affectionate mother, grandmother and sister. 

Besides her father, she is survived by two sons, Joshua Harper of Beaver Dam, KY and Christopher Harper of Leitchfield, KY; one daughter, Amanda Vincent (Harold) of  Bee Spring, KY; one brother, Greg Saltsman of Bee Spring, KY; six grandchildren, Riley Harper, Macie Harper, Owen Vincent, Autumn Vincent , Kaitlyn Harper and Hannah McGrew. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Blythe Harper.

Interment will be in Anneta Church Cemetery.

Martha Sue Greenup, 66 of Bowling Green died Wed. Jan. 10, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

The Warren County native was a daughter of the late George Wallace "Bud" Greenup, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Landecker Stevens . She was an auction clerk for Bud Greenup Real Estate & Auction Co. also a clerk for Corner Cupboard Antiques in Smiths Grove and a member of First Christian Church. 

Her survivors include two aunts, Cynthia Mae Alcorn and Norma Jean Miller (Pat); several cousins, special care giver, Mickey Brown and special friends, Bud Strickler , Barry Claypool, David Chelf, Rex Board among others who were there for her.

Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Hilda Faye Cline Logsdon, 68 of Roundhill died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at her residence.

The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Royce B. and Etta B. Charlton Cline and is preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie J. Hawks, one brother, Carl Cline, and a brother-in-law, Troye Merideth. She was a housewife and a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 

Her survivors include her husband, J. D. Logsdon, Jr.; one daughter, Jennifer Faye Gray (Charles); two sons, Adam Logsdon (Marcela) and Robert Lee Logsdon (Brandi); 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Cline, Marie Merideth, Teresa Whittinghill (Jeff); seven brothers, Jimmie Cline (Sheila), Johnnie Cline, Danny Cline (Janice), Richard Cline(Cindy), David Cline, Keith Cline (Betty Jo), Steve Cline (Tammy); several nieces and nephews.

​Catherine Harp, 77, of Brownsville passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Medical Center.

The Grayson County native was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sylvia Clark Cripps. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, John Bernard (Jay), Harold Cripps and several aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Harp was a graduate of St. Paul High School in Big Clifty.  She was a member of Bee Springs Missionary Baptist church where she attended until she was to sick. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being outside, where she enjoyed gardening, flowers and watching birds.  While she held a few jobs outside the home, her greatest joy was being a stay at home mom.

Mrs. Harp is survived by one son, Willie Harp (Alecia); one daughter, Christy Stice; four grandchildren, Adri and Kalob Harp, Kristin Swinton (Jonathan), Abby Stice; two sisters, Darlene Keown (Virgil), Louise Alvey (Nelson); one brother, Michael Cripps (Carol) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, January 12, 2018 at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Bee Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 and from 9:00 am until service time Friday at the funeral home. 

​Ellis Duvall, age 92 of Anneta, KY, departed this life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Leitchfield, KY.  The Edmonson County native was born on November 12, 1925 to the late Isaac and Mary VanMeter Duvall.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Sanders Duvall. 

Ellis retired as a mechanic and construction worker for WEHR Constractors, Inc.  He was a member of Jock United Baptist Church. 

He leaves to honor his memory— one son, Ellis “Randy” Duvall (Lisa) of Anneta; six daughters, Barbara Scott (David) of Bedford, TX, Peggy Petredis (Phillip) of Louisville, Rose Mary Goins (Denis) of Bee Spring, Patricia “Pg” Bratcher of Leitchfield, Vanda Rice (Tim) of Owensboro and Anna Majors (Scott) of Caneyville; twelve grandchildren, Paul Goins (Whitney), Kyle Goins (Lauren), Patrick Scott, Carolyn Wasky (John), Tara Scott, Kelly Majors, William Petredis, Kelsey Duvall, JD Majors, Holly Rice, Brooke Bratcher and Maitland Rice and seven great grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Katie Ann Duvall.

​Joe Cole, age 60 of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  The Edmonson County native was born on June 23, 1957 to the late Leroy and Evelyn “Peggy” Cole.  He shared his life with best friend and wife, Mary Alice Cole, who survives.  

Joe worked previously as a receiving clerk for Country Oven Bakery. He later worked for Edmonson County Schools as an instructional assistant.  He mentored to many children, and was lovingly known as “Big Dog”.  He was saved as a child, and became a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.  Joe was a family man and truly enjoyed being a husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many people.  He was an avid Wildcat fan and loved cheering for both the Edmonson County Wildcats and the Kentucky Wildcats. 

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— one son, Scott Cole of Brownsville; two brothers, Gary Cole (Paulette) of Cedar Springs and Jimmy Cole (Corentha) of Chalybeate; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.   He was preceded in death by his daughter, April LeaTriece Posze.

Interment will be in Alexander Cemetery.

​Tim Duvall, 52, of Park City passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Park City. He was born on October 26, 1965 in Edmonson County to the late Millard H. Duvall and the late Shirley C. Burris Duvall.

He was a member of Park City Volunteer Fire Department and Seventh Street Baptist Church. Tim was a caregiver and a farmer.

He leaves to honor his memory, one brother, Desmond Duvall; two sisters, Karen Gilbert (Clarence) and Sabrina Maxey both of Bowling Green; three nephews, Lamar J. Buford, Bryson Maxey and Thomas Maxey and one niece, Pilar Buford.    

Interment will be in Clayton Family Cemetery.
