 Elvin Strange, Jr., 83 of Shepherdsville, KY, departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Louisville. The Hart County native was born on July 31, 1931 to the late Elvin and Thelma Logsdon Strange. He was married to Mary Woods Strange, who survives.
He was a barber, retired welder for American Air Filter, co- owned and operated Armored Acres and owned Home Rental Business. He was an Air Force veteran and was a member of Lone Hill United Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, David Strange (Fiance’ Pamela Valentine) of Shepherdsville; one daughter, Glenda Hayes (Frank) of Mammoth Cave; two step daughters, Kathy Huff (Bill) of Valley Station and Paulette Kennedy of Shepherdsville; two grandsons, Richard Hayes and Gregory Hayes; two brothers, Sam Strange (Edna Mae) of Shepherdsville and Wandel Strange (Rita) of Munfordville; one sister, Gail Kelley (Joe Dan) of Shepherdsville; three step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. The Edmonson County native was born on August 14, 1928 to the late Estel Edward and Bertha Mae Jaggers Houchin. He was faithfully devoted to his wife of sixty-one years, Erma Wilson Houchin, who survives.

She was a retired Factory Worker at Eaton Corporation; a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church and a member of Rocky Hill Eastern Star OES #279. He was a son of the late Noah William and Lydia Hunt Bledsoe and is preceded in death by three sisters, Willodean Watt, Pauline Haley, Nola Hargis; four brothers, Eugene Thomas Bledsoe, James Paul Bledsoe, Ellis David Bledsoe, Joseph Monroe Bledsoe. He was a disabled Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith where he was saved at the age of 16 while in the tobacco patch. Leslie Gray “L.G.” Spillman, age 91, of Bowling Green, departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his son’s residence. He was born July 1, 1923 to the late Leslie Gray Spillman and the late Myrtle Spillman. He was married to Maxine Webb Spillman and was faithfully devoted to her until her passing in October 1996.
He was a retired sales manager for USS Agri-Chemical, a WWII U.S. Army Air Force veteran, a member of First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He leaves to honor his memory— one son, Danny L. She is survived by two sons, Jackie Eugene LaMastus of Park City and Keith LaMastus (Tonya) of Mammoth Cave; three daughters, Betty Gail Kiefer of Paragon, IN , Kathy R. Walls (Roger) and Donna Jane LaMastus both of Martinsville, IN; one sister, Thelma Carlene Clark of Westmoreland, TN; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
