​Billy Lee Norris, age 41, of Horse Cave, departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at The Medical Center at Caverna. The Metcalfe County native was born on September 21, 1984 to Martha Ellen Norris and the late William Dwight Norris. He was married to his soul mate, Brandie Nicole Norris, who survives.

Billy was known for his incredible work ethic and the pride he took in everything he did. He worked in maintenance at Akebono Brake, where his dedication and reliability never went unnoticed. More importantly, Billy had a deep love for the Lord and cherished his church family at Riverlake Church, where he found strength, fellowship, and a sense of belonging. In his quieter moments, Billy found peace and joy in the outdoors. Whether he was playing disc golf, hunting in the early morning hours, casting a line in the water, or practicing archery, he felt most at home surrounded by nature.

Besides his wife and mother, Brandie and Martha Ellen, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Gracie Fritz (Josh) of Summer Shade and Stayley Craine of Horse Cave; his sister, Amanda Grace Vancamp (Matthew) of Summer Shade; special great uncle, Phillip Norris (Lois) and nephews and nieces, Conner Vancamp, Carson Vancamp, Faith Vancamp, Sofia Gipson, Tynley Gipson, Landon Gipson and Haisley Gipson.

The interment will be in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Randolph, KY.

​Carol McMullen, age 79, of Brownsville, departed this life on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on August 10, 1946 to the late Paul and Laura Herald Sanders.

Carol once worked as a dedicated purchasing agent for Hill Motley, where she was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail. After her time there, she found her true calling as a caregiver, devoting herself to serving others with compassion and kindness. She lovingly provided care, comfort, and companionship to senior citizens in need, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit and nurturing heart.

Outside of her work, Carol found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She adored her cats, who brought her much comfort and companionship. She cherished quiet, beautiful days spent sitting on her front porch, where laughter and conversation were shared with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling with her senior group, making precious memories along the way. Carol was a member of Glen Lily Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord and her church family was evident. Her life was a reflection of grace, kindness, and selfless love, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She leaves to honor her memory— her son, Joseph Moran (Angela) of Brownsville; grandchildren, Mallory Moran (David Taylor) of Hadley, Cody Moran (Tyler) of Alvaton and Andrew Wells (Chelsey Sturgeon) of Bowling Green; great-grandchildren, Ava Taylor, Dash Taylor, Riley Moran and several other grandchildren and great– grandchildren; her sisters, Regina Shields and Susan Waldrop, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Donnie Moran and sister, Kay Whitson.

​Rhoda Faye Webb Filback, 50, of Cedar Springs passed away March 28, 2026 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
 
The Edmonson County native was a 1994 graduate of Edmonson County High School and was a registered nurse for 25 year having worked for The Medical Center, Hosparus and the Grayson County VA Clinic. Rhoda loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She enjoyed helping others, crafting, and crocheting personal blankets for all the babies. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening- most recently for growing rose plants from clippings. She was a daughter of the late James Kent Webb and Helen Vincent of Brownsville, who survives. She was recently preceded in death by her brother, Jay Webb.
 
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home. Visitation will take place 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday and after 12:00 PM Wednesday.
 
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Glen Filback; five children, Casara Coy (Logan) of Cub Run, Johnathan Filback and Jerrod Filback both of Cedar Springs, Jeremy Mikesell (Amber) of Indiana and Taylor Garvin (Patrick) of Louisville; three sisters, MaryNell Self and Debbie Webb both of Roundhill and Jill Webb Meredith of Pineville; seven grandchildren, Lincoln Coy, Layne Coy, Amelia Mikesell, Jordan Mikesell, Justice Mikesell, Cylor and Adalyn; and one great grandchild.

​Barbara J. Wilson, age 75 of Wingfield, departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Ohio Health Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Morral, OH native was born on October 15, 1950 to the late Cecil and Leona Murphy. She was married to her devoted husband, Richard L. Wilson, until they were parted by his passing on November 8, 2015.

Barbara dedicated many faithful years to her work on the assembly lines at Honda Manufacturing in Marysville, Ohio, where she took pride in a job well done and the friendships she made along the way. Beyond her career, her heart was firmly rooted in her faith as a member of Pleasant Grove “Miller Hill” Missionary Baptist Church—a place she cherished deeply and attended with great joy and devotion.

Barbara found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved to travel and experience new places, but she was just as content sitting along the banks with a fishing pole in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. She also enjoyed watching a good movie, often finding comfort and relaxation in those moments. Above all, Barbara treasured time spent with her family. Whether it was sharing laughter, stories, or simply being together, those moments meant the most to her. Her love for her church and her family defined her life, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steadfast faith, and the warmth she brought to those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Susan Smith (Kelly) of Washington Courthouse, OH, Rick L. Wilson of Columbus, OH, Timothy A. Wilson (Stephanie) of Kenton, OH and Matthew Wilson (Jennifer) of Delaware, OH and her grandchildren, Brett Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Elliott Dixon, Presley Wilson and Hadley Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Murphy.

​Wally Wolfe, age 69, of Roundhill, departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2026 at his residence. The Louisville, KY native was born on October 11, 1956 to the late James Wallace Wolfe, Sr. and Zana Hopper Wolfe.

Wally proudly owned Hales Tree Service, where his strong work ethic and dedication were evident to all who knew him. He was a member of Otter Gap Missionary Baptist Church, where he found spiritual strength. Wally had a fondness for collecting unique memorabilia, always drawn to items with a story to tell—much like his own. In his quieter moments, he could often be found enjoying a good cigar, taking time to relax and reflect on life he so dearly cherished.

He leaves to honor his memory— his children, Amberly Buckson (Kevin) of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Scott Wolfe of Nashville, TN and J.W. Wolfe (Erica) of Roundhill, KY; grandchildren, Malachi Borders, Isaiah Borders, Abram Wolfe and Hudson Wolfe, and siblings, Michael Wolfe (Rita) of Brownsville, Sheila Wolfe of Bowling Green and David Wolfe (Crystal) of Chalybeate. ​Helen Hayes VanMeter, age 84

​Helen Hayes VanMeter, age 84, of Bee Spring, departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Edmonson County native was born on August 24, 1941 to the late Gilbert and Carrie Harp Hayes. She was married to her loving husband, McNeill VanMeter, until the Lord called him home on November 11, 2018.

Helen devoted her life to her home and family, embracing her role as a wife and mother with a deep and abiding love. Caring for those she cherished was not only her responsibility, but her greatest joy. She was more than a mother—she was a trusted friend, a steady presence, and a source of comfort that her children could always count on, no matter the season of life. During the busy days of tax season, Helen could often be found lending a helping hand alongside McNeill at VanMeter Tax Office, always willing to serve wherever she was needed.

Faith was the cornerstone of Helen’s life, and she expressed it beautifully through song. A proud and faithful member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church, she lent her rich alto voice to the Bee Spring Quartet for many years. Those who knew her often said she had the voice of an angel, and it was never more evident than during church services, when she would sing “I’ll Meet You in the Morning” as the spirit of the Lord would pass by. Her voice was a gift she gave freely and joyfully.

Helen’s love of singing didn’t end at the church doors. She could often be found at Brownsville Karaoke, laughing and singing among friends, filling every room she entered with warmth and light. She had a rare and wonderful ability to make people feel at ease, and her friendships were deep and lasting.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Robin VanMeter Ross (Roger) of Munfordville and Brent VanMeter of Chalybeate; granddaughters, Alexis Crews and Mallory Crews, both of Glasgow; great grandson, Nolan Alexander Dockery; sister, Phyllis Wilson of Louisville; sister-in-law, Ronna Sanders (Hulen) of Bee Spring, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends that will cherish her memory. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ocia Elmore, Barbara Vincent, Ruelma Jaggers, Dessie Woodcock, Margaret VanMeter, Jessie, Essie and Athel Hayes.

​Scotty Ray Harrison, age 86, of Lindseyville, departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Edmonson Nursing and Rehab Center in Brownsville. The Grayson County native was born on July 13, 1939 to the late Ira and Dolly Meredith Harrison. He was married to his loving wife, Doris Saltsman Harrison, who survives.

Scotty dedicated many years of his life working as a forklift operator before pursuing his own business and proudly operating Scotty’s Pool Service. He was a member of Anneta United Baptist Church, where his love for the Lord and his church family was evident in the way he lived and treated others. In his spare time, Scotty found great joy in woodworking, especially crafting birdhouses for his sister, Betty Lou, to display and sell in her flower shop, Gibson’s Florist, a simple act that reflected his generous heart and love for his family. He also had a passion for his Chevy S-10, which he enjoyed showcasing at local car shows, always taking pride in his work and the connections he made along the way. Scotty was known for his kind and gentle spirit, a man whose loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Besides his wife, Doris, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Sharon Ewart (Gary) of Vine Grove, David Harrison (Tosh) of Louisville, Deborah Barnes (Neil) of Louisville, Mike McGrew (Helen) of Glendale, Anne Sherrard of Lindseyville and Heather Vincent (Gary) of Sweeden; seven grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Betty Lou Gibson (Jr.) of Clarkson and several nieces and nephews who he adored. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Carolyn Gary Harrison and his siblings, Joe and Jay Harrison.

​Porter Brooks, age 94, of Bee Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was saved in 1955 and was a faithful member of Jock United Baptist Church. He retired from Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM-Brownsville, KY.

He was the son of the late George Chatfield (Chat) Brooks and the late Ella Myrtle (Harp) Brooks.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Lawrence & Florence Brooks, five brothers, Proctor, Virgil, Wren, Curtis, and Amos Brooks; four sisters, Stella Burba, Lestie Wilson, Rena Shreve, and Dona Vincent. One son-in-law, Tommy Stevenson.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Christine Brooks, Bee Spring, KY; his children, Patty (John) Brewer, Bowling Green, KY, Doug (Denise) Brooks, Horse Cave, KY, Jan (Tommy) Bolton, Brownsville, KY, Lisa Stevenson, Bee Spring, KY, Scott (Kelli) Brooks, Smiths Grove, KY. 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

​The family will welcome friends from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM CT on Monday, March 23, 2026 and again from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM CT on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Jock United Baptist Church, Bee Spring, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Jock United Baptist Church with Bro. Blake Newton officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Jock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY.

​Rev. James Norman Kerr, age 89, of Brownsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (March 18, 2026) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.
 
He was born on August 22, 1936 in Sunfish, KY, the son of the late Edmond Chandos and Dexie Bell Davis Kerr.
 
He was a farmer and a devoted man of God who ministered for over 60 years. He loved talking to people and visiting the sick. His ministry was very important to him. He never met a stranger and was always very caring and interested in people’s lives, but most importantly their eternal salvation. His passion was flowers. He grew beautiful ones of different varieties and colors.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 355. His fellow lodge members will be holding a Masonic Service on Saturday evening. Rev. Kerr was saved at an early age and was a member of Sunny Point General Baptist Church for over 75 years.
 
He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Stewart of Brownsville and his brother, David Kerr and wife, Jeanette, of Shepherdsville; and nieces and nephews, Nicklos Heaverin, Cassie Peay, Christopher Stewart, Tommy Stewart, Magan Stewart, Sandy Arntz, Susan Sweeney, Bruce Kerr, Ronnie Kerr, Brittany Lynn, Mackenzie Deeb, and Casey Viers.
 
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randall and Edmond Kerr, his nieces and nephews, Melissa Stinson, Sharon Stewart, Darrell Kerr, and Madison Shepherd; and his brother-in-law, Harvey Stewart.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (March 29, 2026) at the Sunny Point General Baptist Church on Sunny Point Road in Edmonson County. Bro. Doug Edwards and Bro. Brent Basham will be officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday (March 28, 2026) and at the church (March 29, 2026) from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.

The Wilburton, OK native was a former telephone operator for the Memphis, TN VA Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Hunnicutt.

Leslie Lee Minor, age 63, of Cave City, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his residence. The Barren County native was born on October 4, 1962 to the late George and Frances Ellen Minor. He was married to his loving wife, Betty Adwell Minor, who survives.

Leslie worked as a mechanic for many years, both independently and with Roger’s Tires, where he was known for his strong work ethic and natural mechanical ability. He truly enjoyed working with his hands and took great pride in repairing and restoring vehicles, especially Chevy S-10 trucks. Whether helping a friend, a customer, or simply tinkering in the garage, Leslie found joy in the work he loved.

Besides his wife, Betty, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Dennis Miller of Glasgow, Lisa Philpott (Lee Settles) of Cave City and Chad Miller of Cave City; grandchildren, D.J. Miller, Brian Carroll, Douglas Carroll, Isabella Branham and Bryson Miller and his siblings, Melvin Minor of Cave City, Gilman Minor (Carol) of Cave City, Scot Minor of Cave City and Nancy Robertson of Glasgow. ​Foran Meredith, Jr., age 55 of Glasgow, departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The Barren County native was born on July 28, 1970 to the late Barbara J. Claywell and Foran Meredith, Sr.

Foran worked as a draftsman for Dallas Welding before later working alongside his mother on the assembly line at 3A Composites. He loved spending time with family and friends, cooking and sharing good meals, listening to music, and riding motorcycles. Foran also had a special love for animals and enjoyed their companionship. He will be remembered for his easygoing nature and the joy he found in the simple things in life.

He leaves to honor his memory— his father and namesake, Foran Meredith, Sr. (Lolita); loving sister, Marlene Meredith Wood (Roger); nephew, Drew Wood; great-nephew, Trenton Wood, all of Glasgow, along with several friends that will miss their special times with Foran. Besides his mother, Barbara, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Montie and Elzadie Kerr Meredith and maternal grandparents, Jim and Bonnie Booher Claywell.

​Bill Hiltner, age 65, of Park City, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. The Defiance, Ohio native was born on December 5, 1960 to Bill and Bert Merritt and the late Charles William “Charley Bill” Hiltner, Sr. He was married to his soul mate and best friend, Jamie Hiltner, who survives.

Bill had a servant’s heart from a young age and carried that spirit of service with him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard, demonstrating his deep commitment to helping and protecting others. In his daily life, Bill continued that same dedication through his work in maintenance for the City of Park City, where he took great pride in improving the community he loved. Whether fixing something that was broken or building something new, Bill found joy in creating things that would benefit others. He loved working with his hands and was always eager to take on a new project that could make someone’s life a little better. Bill was excitedly working on his newest project at Pee Wee’s Pizza, Wings and Ice Cream, continuing his passion for building, improving, and serving others. Even in his passing, Bill’s generous and caring heart continued to shine, as he gave the gift of life to others through the donation of his organs.

Besides his wife and parents, Jamie, Bill and Bert, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Brad Lee (Valerie) of Westerville, OH, Angel Bell (Johnny) of Glasgow, Samantha Francis (fiance’ Ruben) of Park City, Dylan Hiltner (Jade) of Pueblo West, CO, Miranda Schnitkey (Aaron) of Napoleon, OH, Paige Hiltner of Bowling Green and Emma Hiltner of Park City; fourteen grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Hiltner (Tammy) and Amy Miller (Chris), along with a host of friends.
Bill will be lovingly carried to his final resting place at Evergreen Cemetery by his children, a final tribute to the deep love and bond they shared.

Debra was born December 8, 1953 in Louisville, a daughter of James Renfro and Wilma P. Williams Hatfield. She was a former seamstress for Brownsville Manufacturing, IMS of Leitchfeld, and Siegel Robert of Bowling Green and a former member of The Hardin County Fair Squares of Elizabethtown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Caroline Donaldson and Sandy Renfro.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Hanks; one daughter, Melissa Michelle Decker (Terry) of Bee Spring; four grandchildren, Matthew Decker (Bethany) of Park City, Jonathon Decker (Courtney) of Brownsville, Tiffany Locke (Michael) of Munfordville, and Nicholas Decker of Bee Spring; four great grandchildren, Arya, Caden, Makenzie, and Shelby; one sister, Phyllis Pritchett (Jimmy) of Burlington, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

​Anna Joyce Gross Blessitt, 84, of Sweeden passed away March 7, 2026 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. 

Anna was born in Grayson County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie Mae Johnson. She was a member of Smalls Grove Baptist Church in Caneyville and the Jesus First Gospel Singing Group. She worked for many years as the maintenance manager at the Colony Apartments in Bowling Green where she enjoyed working with the elderly residents. Her faith was precious to her and reading her bible was time well spent. The greatest joy of her life was her "Grandbabies". Time with Mamaw Ann meant sweet surprises and lots of hugs and memories.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husbands, Porter Gross and Bernard Blessitt; two daughters, Beverly Gross and Gala Gross; a son, Jimmy Gross; a great granddaughter, Cassidy Richardson; a sister, Jolene Johnson and three brothers, Junior, Cleo, and Earnest Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bee Spring Cemetery. Visitation will take place 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Wednesday and after 10:00 AM Thursday until time of service.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Martha Cook (Jimmy) of Bee Spring, Shongia Ashley and Angie Johnson (Charles)  of Smiths Grove; a son, Wesley Gross (Linda) of Brownsville; twelve grandchildren, Leslie Clubb (Jeff), Jeffrey Gross (Mandy), Joyce Crabtree (John), Timmy Cook (Dawnita), P Jay Gross (Crystal), Shannon Edwards (Adrian), Josh Cook (Casey), Jimmy Lee Gross, Jeremy Richardson, Courtney Johnson (Allen), Jordan Juett, and Sammatha Campbell (Bruce); twenty four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Welcher of Caneyville; two brothers, Charles Johnson (Martie) of Millwood, Morris Johnson of Caneyville; several nieces and nephews and many extended family.

​Krista Lynn Smith, age 36, of Horse Cave, departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. The Hart County native was born on March 10, 1989 to Gary and Billie Sue Smith.

Krista was saved at the age of eleven at Servant Valley United Baptist Church, where she remained a member. She was especially proud of earning her degree from Western Kentucky University, an accomplishment that filled her with immense pride and personal fulfillment. Krista later worked at Mind, Body and Soul in Elizabethtown, where she enjoyed the opportunity to assist and connect with others through her work.

Besides her parents, Gary and Billie Sue, she leaves to honor her memory— her beloved son, Zain Andrew Smith of Horse Cave; brother, Brandon Smith (Ashley) of Park City and special niece and nephews, Bridgette, Carson and Caleb Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buford and Genell Smith and Geneva Duvall.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Cave City Cemetery. The family will host a meal following the service at the Cave City Community Center.

Robert Duncan Webb, age 84

Robert Duncan Webb, age 84, of Louisville, peacefully departed this life with his loving family by his side on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on January 21, 1942, to the late Edwin and Addie Johnson Webb. He was united in marriage to his devoted wife and best friend of fifty-six years, the late Eurbana Seabolt Webb, with whom he shared a life filled with love, faith, and devotion.

Robert proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy before dedicating many years of hard work as a welder at Falls City Machine Technology, where he later retired. On February 1, 1981, he humbly gave his heart to the Lord and was gloriously saved, a life-changing moment he treasured as the greatest blessing and most precious gift he ever received. From that day forward, his faith became the foundation of his life. He was a faithful and devoted member of Pond Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where he lovingly once served as song leader, clerk and currently as a deacon, and held a deep and abiding love for his church family. Robert never hesitated to share how thankful he was for the day the Lord saved him, and his gratitude was evident in the way he lived—with humility, kindness, and a sincere love for others.

Robert was known as a good and kind-hearted man whose gentle spirit and warm nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life revolved around his steadfast faith, his church, and the deep love he shared with his beloved wife, Eurbana, until the Lord called her home on February 11, 2017. Though they were never blessed with children of their own, they poured their love into their nieces and nephews, cherishing them dearly and loving them as if they were their own.

He leaves to honor his memory— his sister, Christine Vincent of Brownsville; in-laws, Jeanette Seabolt of Roundhill, Randall Seabolt (Joyce) of Indianapolis, IN, Tommy Seabolt (Barbara) of Brownsville, John Seabolt (Patty) of Vine Grove, Juanita Minton (Richard) of Chalybeate, Nola Reynolds (David) of Cedar Springs and Emma Miller (Larry) of Alvaton, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Delaine Webb, and in-laws, Coy Vincent, Dillard “Dee” and Dempsey Seabolt, Buck and Mae Seabolt, Ersie and Tommy Cherry, Versie and Mendell Parker and Dallas Seabolt.

The interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery with graveside military honors by the Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.

Cecelia Furlong Arterburn, 100

​After a century of life well lived, Cecelia Furlong Arterburn, of Park City, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 100, surrounded by the love and memories of family and friends whose lives she enriched. She was born on May 22, 1925, in what is now known as Mammoth Cave National Park, to the late Arthur and Lola Mae Whittle Furlong. She shared sixty-nine devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, the late Edward “Ed” Arterburn.

Cecelia retired after many faithful years of service as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. In addition to her work there, she was a dedicated partner to her husband on their farm, where her careful attention and meticulous record-keeping helped keep everything running smoothly. Above all, Cecelia will be remembered as a caring, strong, intelligent, and loving wife, mother, and proud Mimi who treasured her family. She was a woman of Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include— her daughters, Gail Broady (Gary) of Franklin and Kim Burks (Teddy) of Park City; her grandchildren, Beth Broady (fiancé, AJ Schifferli), Tyler Burks, and Megan Sneed (Andrew); her beloved great-granddaughter, Adalynn Sneed, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ophelia Furlong, and her stepmother, Elizabeth Morgan Furlong.

Rondal L. Duvall, 72, of Bee Spring passed away March 3, 2026 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Edmonson County native was a retired line and maintenance worker at Vermont America, pastor of Jesus Christ Holiness Church and a 1972 graduate of Edmonson County High School. He was a son of the late Lenard C. Duvall and Julia A. Poteet Duvall.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in John Stevenson Cemetery. Visitation will take place 2:00-7:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday.

Surviving are two sons, Jason Duvall and Tyler Carroll (Hannah Williams) both of Bee Spring; a sister, Lavonda Large of Leitchfield; a brother, Roger Duvall of Hodgenville; and several nieces and nephews.

The Waterville, Maine native was a former paper mill worker and Fedex delivery courier.
 
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday March 8th at Community Church at Cedar Springs, where he was a member. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Surviving are his caregivers, Jeannie and David Minyard of Brownsville.

​Brenda Kinser, age 79, of Louisville, departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The Edmonson County native was born on May 13, 1946 to the late Conrad and Estelyne Parker Kinser.

Brenda had a special gift to care for others, a calling she fulfilled with compassion and dedication throughout her career as a registered nurse at Kosair Children’s Hospital. She found great joy beyond her work as well, especially in traveling and taking long motorcycle rides down quiet, country roads with Harry, making memories along the way. Above all, Brenda’s greatest love was her family. They were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She leaves to honor her memory— her life partner, Harry Taylor of Louisville; nieces, Sherry Johnson (William Earl) of Brownsville, Beth McDougle of Bowling Green, Sarah Kinser of Louisville and Susan Kinser of Danville; several great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces, along with her fur baby, Stella. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Kinser and Patricia Emerson.
