Paul Aron Robinson, age 91

Paul Aron Robinson, age 91, a resident of Chalybeate, departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Edmonson Center in Brownsville.  Paul was born on May 9, 1932 to the late Johnny and Hester Robinson of Manchester, TN.  He was married to his devoted wife of sixty-nine years, Carol Robinson, who survives.  
 
Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He worked for thirty-two years at National Standard Company in Niles, MI.  
 
Besides his wife, Carol, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, John Robinson of Oceanside, CA, Debra Shaw (Geary) of Embarrass, MN, Phillip Robinson of Cleveland, OH and Robert Robinson of Smiths Grove, along with his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Cain, and siblings, Fred, Thurston, Dawson, Bob, Walter, Ruth, Nora and Mary.  
 
Interment will be held at a later date at Robinson Cemetery in Manchester, Coffee County, TN.

​Linda Davis Pedigo, age 72 of Cave City, departed this life at her residence on Thursday, April 25, 2024.  The Barren County native was born on December 6, 1951, to the late Bill and Beulah Young Davis.  
 
She leaves to honor her memory—her son, Chris Edwards; stepchildren, Johnny Pedigo (Tammy), Julie Goldsmith (Thomas) and Elizabeth Jerns; several grandchildren and her brother, Robert Davis. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Pedigo.

Brandon Harlin Tarter, Age 42

Brandon Harlin Tarter, 42, of the Capitol Hill community passed away April 25, 2024 at his home. 

The Edmonson County native was a truck driver, a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church and a 2000 graduate of Edmonson County High School where he was an avid member of the Wildcat football team for all of his four years there. He was a son of Harlin Tarter and Reneva Hardin Tarter of the Silent Grove community, who survive. He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Randall Hardin, Benjamin Tarter and Julie Beckner Tarter; and a cousin, Jason Hardin.

 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lambert Cemetery. Visitation will take place 11:00 AM-7:00 PM Saturday and after 10:00 AM Sunday.
 
Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Madison Brook Tarter; a brother, Bradley Tarter of Park City; a grandmother, Gertrude Basham Hardin of Roundhill; a special aunt, Martha James; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.

Terry Jacobs, Age 79

Terry Jacobs, age 79 of Brownsville, KY peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Edmonson Center.  The Henderson, KY native was born on April 16, 1945 to the late Volney Ray and Mae Violet Jacobs.  He was married to his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Sharon Denton Jacobs, who survives.
 
Terry retired as a technician after forty-two years from Henderson Rural Electric Cooperative.  For many years, he was very active in his community and volunteered with numerous civic organizations.  He was the former president and secretary for Henderson County Lions Club, Gestures Club, Shriner and Elks Club.  He was also a member of the Corydon Masonic Lodge, and First Christian Church of Bowling Green.  
 
He valued time spent making memories with his family and grandson.  Some of those times included going out on the lake, skiing and taking Zachary to the movie.  
 
Besides his wife, Sharon, he leaves to honor his memory— his son, Jeff Jacobs and his wife, Laura of Brownsville; grandson, Zachary Jacobs; step grandson, Justin Vincent, and step great-granddaughters, Addison and Emma Vincent.

Raymond Earl Eatmon, age 69

Raymond Earl Eatmon, age 69 of Cave City, departed this life at his home, with his family by his side on Sunday, April 21, 2024.  The Barren County native was born on August 8, 1954, to the late Earl and Etta Ethel Eatmon.  He was married to his best friend and love of his life, Ruby Carter Eatmon, who survives. 
 
Raymond worked for J.F. Pace Rock Quarry as a loader operator but was always willing to do anything that was asked of him.  In his spare time, he enjoyed reading history books and putting models together.  He cherished the time spent with his family, sharing laughs and pulling pranks on them.  Raymond was a member of Boyds Creek United Methodist Church. 

Besides his wife, Ruby, he leaves to honor his memory—his siblings, Wanda Babbitt (George), Carolyn Cole (Philo), Debra Emmert (Lee), Tammy Eatmon, Kathy Hall, Ernie Eatmon (Katie), Elizabeth Lutzen (Myron) and Alisha Rich (Jimmie); his mother-in-law, Dorothy Carter; sisters-in-law, Ruthann Sexton (Junior) and Susie Eatmon, along with several nieces and nephews that he loved as his own.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Coulter, Kenneth Eatmon, Patricia Wheeler and Margie Tarry.
 
Interment will be in Campground Cemetery.

Lizzie Bell Cook, age 97 of Three Rivers, Michigan, departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Birch Meadows Senior Care.  The Edmonson County native was born on November 13, 1926 to the late Lucion and Ora “Tincy” Dossey.  She was married to her devoted husband, Rumbsey T. Cook, until they were parted by his passing on February 3, 2017.  
 
Lizzie worked in her home and cared for the needs of her family.  She loved to sew and quilt, and enjoyed the fellowship with her friends in the Nimble Thimble Quilt Club.  She was an excellent cook, and found great pleasure working in her garden and canning.  Lizzie was also a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.  
 
She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Teresa A. Sneary (Mike) of Three Rivers, MI and Allen Cook (Jean) of South Carolina; grandchildren, Amie Cook, Ashley Hanberry (Ryan) and David Sneary (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Justice, Aydein, Thomas, Saerenna Bell, Alara, and Amelia; great-great grandchild, Ricky; her brother, Randell Dossey of Scottsville, along with several nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.  Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Iva Nell Tunks and Anna Mae Hatler.

Eleanor M. Fraim, age 82 of Brownsville, departed this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Jefferson County native was born on May 13, 1941 to the late Bernard and Mary Smith Lichtefeld.  She was married to her beloved husband, James Joel Fraim, until they were parted by his death on July 3, 2003.  
 
Eleanor worked for years until retirement as an assembly line worker for Louisville Chair Company.  She was of the Catholic faith.
 
She leaves to honor her memory— brothers, Bernard Litchtefeld of Louisville, Robert Lichtefeld (Debbie) of Bedford, IN and William Lichtefeld (Stacey) of Louisville; sisters, Patricia Corder (John) of Hollywood, FL, Constance Fortner (James) of Louisville and Denise Lichtefeld of Louisville; step-grandchildren, A.B. Webb, Sarah Webb and her son, David, Ben Webb (Kori), James Webb and Te’a Catt; dear friends and neighbors, Anna Lindsey, Billy and Kassie Lindsey and their daughter, Emma Lindsey, Stephanie and Bobby Borowski. Jo Ann Williams, age 58 of Henryville, IN, departed this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Louisville. The New Albany, IN native was born on July 6, 1965 to the late James and Rosie Doss Kliessendorff. She was married to Sidney “Sid” Williams, who also preceded her in death.
 
Jo Ann was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Henryville.  
 
She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Deanna Kliessendorff, Tiffany Williams of Henryville and Ruth Williams of Clarksville; grandson, Jackson Wright; siblings, Brenda Snelling, Jarvis Kliessendorff (Erica), Elizabeth Houchens, Penny Kliessendorff and Jake Kliessendorff; brother-in- law, Marks Williams (Julie), along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Kliessendorff.
 
Interment will be in Poplar Spring cemetery.

Judy Lynn Overfelt, age 53 of Smiths Grove, departed this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at her residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on May 5, 1970 to the late Homer and Maxine Toms Tarter. She was married to Ronnie Lee Overfelt, until they were parted by his passing on June 7, 2015.  
 
Judy was a 1988 graduate of Edmonson County High School, and worked as a certified nursing assistant.  She attended CenterPointe Church.  
 
She leaves to honor her memory— her daughters, Brandi Bowlds of Brownsville, Ashley Clark of Louisville, Katelyn Overfelt of Hopkinsville and Lauren Overfelt of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Miguel Clark, Chloe Bowlds, Riley Bowlds, Peyton Taylor, Jordan Overfelt, Jaleigh Walker, Jakiah Overfelt, Carson Clark and Jaylah Walker, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by Gloria Jean Peger, Brenda Halvorson and Alice Temples.

Charles Lewis “C.L.” Salleng, 81 of Sunfish passed away peacefully April 9, 2024 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green with his family by his side. 

The Edmonson County native was an auto mechanic, a carpenter and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. C.L. was a son of the late Clyde Salleng and Marie Durbin Salleng. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Salleng and a granddaughter, Kolbie Rae Lynn Saltsman.
 
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Vincent Church in Bee Spring. Visitation will take place after 5:00 PM Friday at the church. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Bettie Salleng; four sons, Dean Salleng (Mary Ann) of Poplar Springs, Eddie Salleng (Kathy) and Andy Salleng (Patty) both of Sunfish and Stacey Salleng (Tanya) of Stanton; a daughter, Michelle Elkins of Floral City, FL; two sisters, Connallee McGrew of Vine Grove and Phyllis Wright of New Albany, IN; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; a special nephew, Jawania Haycraft; and several other nephews, nieces and cousins.

Carolyn Joyce York, 88, of Mt. Washington passed away April 1, 2024 at Green Meadows Health Care Center in Mt. Washington. 

The Jefferson County native was a switchboard operator for Camping World. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Taylor and Virginia Lee Williams Taylor and the wife of the late Gerald D. York. She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Jacob James and Adam Hoskinson.
 
No public services are scheduled. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Surviving are five children, Sharon Smith (Mike) and Toni McMahan (Jeff) both of Jeffersonville,IN, Maurine Mervis (Stuart) of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Carol Wathen (Joe) of Vine Grove and John Hoskinson (Daune) of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Heaven Leigh Poteet, infant daughter of Kennady and Logan Poteet, took her flight back to God who gave her on Sunday, April 7, 2024.  She was welcomed into this world on Thursday, April 4, 2024.  
 
She was the baby sister of Blakely Kay Poteet, who loved her with all her heart.  She also leaves to honor her precious memory-- her grandparents, Bro. Jeff and Holli Doyle of Cedar Springs and Tim and Tammy Poteet of Chalybeate; great-grandparents, Bro. Malcolm and Belinda Doyle and Hoyt, Jr. and Linda Webb; great-great grandmother, Louise Doyle; aunts and uncles, Keely Turley (Chase) Lucas Poteet (Josie Decker), and Kollin Doyle, along with several cousins and extended family members who adored her.

Clyde Salley, age 87, of Park City departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at T.J. Regional Health in Glasgow. He was born on March 2, 1937 in Edmonson County to the late Sylvester and Nell Myers Salley. He was married to his loving wife of sixty-six years, Lou Ira Thompson Salley, who survives.

Clyde retired after working for forty-five years with Square Deal Lumber Company in Cave City, and was the owner of Salley’s Lock Service. He was a member of Park City United Methodist Church and Park City Masonic Lodge #934 F&AM. Clyde loved his community, neighbors and friends.

Besides his wife, Lou Ira, he leaves to honor his memory— two sons, Randy Salley (Ruth) of Louisville and Rusty Salley (Dana) of Glasgow; grandchildren, Wesley Salley (Allison), Cameron Salley (Jessie), Alyce Henry (David), Meredith Carter (Jordan) and Brooke Holman (Sidney); thirteen great-grandchildren and sisters, Barbara Clark and Judy Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Margie Toms, Sammie, James and Raleigh Salley.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mary Ann Woosley, age 80 of Big Reedy, peacefully departed this life at her home, with her husband by her side on Sunday, April 7, 2024.  The Grayson County native was born on September 19, 1943 to the late Ivan and Myrtle Hack Woosley.  She was married to her devoted help mate of sixty-two years, Terrell Woosley, who survives.
 
Mary Ann retired as an office assistant from Western Kentucky University.  She was saved as a young lady, and she became a member of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she remained a faithful member until her passing.  Mary Ann had a true servant’s heart, and thoroughly enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching VBS and Sunday School, cooking for potlucks, serving the Lord, her adoring family and her church family.  
 
Besides her husband, Terrell, she leaves to honor her memory— her sons, Mark Woosley (Sarah) and Paul Woosley (Jennifer) all of Big Reedy; grandchildren, Jenna Woosley-Owens (Brandon), Lily Woosley, Daniel Woosley, Alex Woosley and Matthew O’Bryan and sisters, Alice Woosley and Patty Sue Massey (Charlie).  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Bethany Ann Woosley and an infant sister.
 
Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.

Kenneth Dwight Buster, age 67

Kenneth Dwight Buster, age 67, passed away in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 7, 2024. The Warren County native was born to the late James Cordis and Zula Francis (White) Buster on April 7, 1957. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Brenda Hesson, Sue Arnold, Jimmy Buster, and Charles Buster. Kenneth was a Chevy Camaro enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was an HVAC salesman. 
 
Survivors include his wife Rhonda Brown Buster, and their daughter Miranda Summers and her husband Robert. Two grandchildren Madison Summers and Robbie Summers, and one brother Bobby Buster and his wife Janet. Several nieces and nephews and extended family also survive.
 
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Cremation was chosen.

Wanda Lee Doyle, age 88

Wanda Lee Doyle, age 88 of Park City, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Edmonson Health Care in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was born on August 15, 1935 to the late James Earl and Minnie Myrtle Adwell. She was married for sixty-three years to the late J.B. Doyle, until they were parted by his death on November 17, 2017.  
 
Wanda was a homemaker and lovingly cared for the needs of her family.  She was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.
 
She leaves to honor her memory-- her children, Rebecca Lowe (Clayton) of Smiths Grove, Betty Vibbert (Dennis) of Park City and Kendall Doyle (Janel) of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Brad Graves (Samantha), John Tyler Doyle (Erin) and Kimber Doyle;  great-grandchildren, Coty Sims (Charlie), Kaitlin White, Corey Graves (Shelby), Kendra Lowe, Taylor Lamar, Ellie Lile and Ty Riggs, and five great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandchildren, Micheal Lowe, Kyle and Kaleb Doyle; great-grandson, Jaxon Graves and her siblings, Junior Adwell, Charlene Skaggs, Eva Hudson, Brenda Locke and Velma Raymer.

Kevin Wayne Flaherty, age 62 of Louisville, departed this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. The Jefferson County native was born on June 13, 1961 to the late Wayne Flaherty and Doris Helen Duvall.  

Kevin was a resident of Delmaria Group Home, and attended Southeast Christian Church.  He had such a kind heart, and he loved his family and friends. Kevin enjoyed all the activities at his home such as listening to music, watching movies, riding his bike and going to Hooters each week to eat their acclaimed wings.  
 
He leaves to honor his memory— his niece, Angela Hook Kamber; a great niece and nephew, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Hook, and nephew, Abram Hook.  
 
Interment will be in Old Jock Cemetery.

Mildred Sharon Wilkinson Woodcock, 80, of Brownsville passed away April 1, 2024 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. 
The Jefferson County native was a certified medicine tech at Magnolia Village, a 1962 graduate of DuPont Manual High School and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Rondall G. Wilkinson and Agnes Elizabeth Shirley Wilkinson. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Thompson; a sister, Wanda Witty; and a brother, Ronald B. Wilkinson.
 
A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday.
 
Surviving are a son, Paul Bryan Thompson (Kim) of Brownsville; a daughter, Meredith Ann West (Bo) of Morgantown; a bonus daughter, Tiffany Madison Pickle of League City, TX; four grandchildren, Tyler Thompson, Courtney Beckley, Tristan Thompson and Keaton Thompson; bonus granddaughters, Jenna Pickle and Averi Pickle; a great granddaughter, Raelynn Thompson; devoted family members, Leah Conklin and Kiersten Jaggers; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Nancy Harvey and Linda Clark; and many to whom she lovingly accepted the role of mother
