 Brenda Gail Gray, age 54, of Park City, KY departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Louisville. The Barren County native was born on January 27, 1961 to the late Stanford Lee Mauk and Joyce Ann Martin Minor of Park City and was married to the late Monte Gray.
She worked in the child support office by one daughter, Ann-Ashleigh Davis (Brandon) of Bowling Green, KY; one son, Mike Gray (Latonya) of Park City; one grandson, Tanner Gray of Park City. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Thomas Minor. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery with Bro. Toby Nunn officiating. The Barren County native was a son of the late Frank Thomas Cash. He was a self employed electrician, a US Army veteran where he was a heavy equipment operator and a demolitian and jungle survival expert. His survivors include his mother, Eloise Basil Cash; his son, Joey Andrew Cash; a sister, Judy Jennings; two brothers, Kenny Cash and Roger Cash; several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Goins, age 56, of Bee Spring, KY, departed this life on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on November 26, 1958 to Troy and Joyce Duvall Goins. He was a veteran of the national guard, retired from construction work and was a member of Jock United Baptist Church.

The Warren County native was a son of the late Ray and Laura Hopkins East and is preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Frederick East and Aubrey East. He was the husband of the late Delores Yokley East. Billy was a self employed livestock hauler, a member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church and Hays Masonic Lodge #517 F&AM and served in the US Army His survivors include three daughters, Debbie Keys (Donald), Becky Carroll(Lannie), Judy Gaul (Brian); seven grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Johnny), Jessie Garrity, Colby Carroll (Tiffany), Kyle Carroll (Rachel), Brian Gaul, Jr., Jennifer Lambert (Clint), Jody Holland (Aubrey); nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Risen, Elizabeth Raisor Cope (Warren), Barbara Schumer (Dan), several nieces and nephews. Garland Bird, 87, of Brownsville passed away May 18, 2015 at his home.
The Edmonson County native was a retired employee of General Electric. He was a son of the late Lennie Bird and Bertha Webb Bird and the husband of the late Virginia Higginbotham Bird, the late Juanita Rennirt Bird and the late Juanita Johnson Bird. Hubert Dewey Wells, age 81, of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on November 11, 1933 to the late Shirman and Dorothy Kinslow Wells.
He was a member of Beaver Dam United Baptist Church. He leaves to honor his memory, one sister, Patricia Cena (Carl) of Chalybeate; one brother-in-law, Floyd Johnson of Bowling Green; three nephews, Neil Johnson, Troy Lee and Robert Cena (Leslie) and two nieces, Robin Lee Chambers (Johnny) and Leslie Cena Talley (Alan). The Edmonson County native was a 2014 graduate of Edmonson County High School, a diesel mechanic, a student at Lincoln College of Technology and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of Jeff Woosley and Trena Copelin Woosley of Roundhill, who survive. Funeral will be at 3:00 PM Thursday at the Edmonson County High School Gymnasium with burial to follow in Threlkel Cemetery. Blanton, age 82, of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Bowling Green, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on October 26, 1932 to the late Walter and Ida Ray Sowders and was the wife of Morris Blanton who survives.
She was a Medical Assistant to Dr. Sydney Farmer, Dr. Marcus Wilkes and Dr. Omkar Bhatt at Wilkes Clinic and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary to VFW Post # 6937 and Beaver Dam United Baptist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Vanecia Wilson (David) of Brownsville; one son, James Blanton (Jaime) of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Laura Wilson of Bowling Green, Holly Cutright (Elliott) of Richmond, VA, Caitlin Wilson of Bowling Green and Lillian Mae Blanton of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Wanda Meredith (Regnal) of Brownsville and one brother, George Henry Sowders (Sarah) of Okeechobee, FL. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Irene Slaughter. Interment will be in Fairview Church Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Patton and Bro. Ronald Renfro officiating. The Edmonson County native was co-founder of Gravil Funeral Home, assistant postmaster at Brownsville Post Office, a seamstress, a graduate of Leitchfield High School and a member of Asphalt Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Essie F. Smith and Alma Priddy Smith and the wife of the late Bill Nugent and the late Bert Gravil. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Otis, Oliver, Osa and Oble Smith; and three sisters, Ollie Belle Rich, Vera Smith and Charlene Smith. Funeral will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 AM-9 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday.
