![]() Lt. Colonel Leonard “Buddy” Webb of Crestwood, KY, passed away peacefully at Baptist Health Louisville on June 28, 2017. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service, after which he was Vice President of Operations for Goodwill Industries of Missouri, and retired finally from Southern School Supply in 1996. Although in poor health recently, Leonard remained an inspiration because of his Christian witness and deep affection for his family and friends. Col. He was born in Portland, IN on May 8, 1972 the son of Richard D. and Lisa N. (Spillman) Whittington. Michael graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1990. He later attended Glen Oaks Community College and Bowling Green Technical Institute. Michael was employed at American Metal Fab in Three Rivers. He enjoyed working on cars and small engines. He was a softball and basketball coach while living in Kentucky. He enjoyed playing video games and watching NASCAR events. Michael was married to Tracie L. Moyer on Oct. 5, 2012 in Centreville. She survives along with two children, Luke Whittington of Leonidas and Kayla Whittington of Brownsville, KY; four step-children, Christian Adams of Colorado Springs, CO, Jared Adams of Mendon, Jodi Reeves of Leonidas, and Sean Sherbern of Lawton; his mother, Lisa Whittington of Elizabeth, IN; his father and step-mother Richard and Linda Whittington of Brownsville, KY; brother, Spencer M. He retired in 2011 after 50 years with the Edmonson County School System as a teacher, guidance counselor and finally Director of Special Education. He enjoyed a second career during this time as a photographer.
