Bonnie Lee Lindsey, age 81 of Brownsville, departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on May 21, 1940 to the late Homer and Maggie Jane Johnson Lindsey.
Bonnie was a caregiver having cared for her parents and was a waitress at Edmonson Drugs. She was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory-- two brothers, William Jackie Lindsey (Linda) and C.D. Lindsey (Sheila) both of Brownsville; three sisters, Betty Watt of Pine Grove, Shirlene Young of Brownsville, Virginia Burns (Albert) of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Andrew Lindsey and Harold Lindsey and two sisters, Margaret Jackson and Martha Poteet. Interment will be in Johnson Cemetery. Albert was a son of the late Abb and Mattie Inez Rich and is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Rich, William Rich, and Joe Rich, also two brothers-in-law, Clifford Peay and Medford Skaggs. He was a route salesman for Sunbeam Bread Company, a member, deacon and sunday school teacher at Smiths Grove Baptist Church. Albert was a U. S. Army Veteran, a former member of the Smiths Grove Lions Club for 42 years; past district governor; past president of the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, and served as the Smiths Grove Representative for 14 years on the Bowling Green Warren County Planning Commission. Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife of 63 years, Geneva Rich; two daughters, Debbie Joyner (Monroe) and Sandy Butler (Johnnie); one son, Mike Rich ( Pan) He was a loving Gran to six grandchildren, Josh James (Jamie), Lucas Joyner (Liza), Kasey McCrary (Chris), Brooke Miller (Steven), Linsey Logsdon (Chris) and Mattie Rich (Chandel); 14 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Miller, Jacob Miller, Abby Logsdon, Lucy Joyner, Connor James, Lily Joyner, Nolan McCrary, Jonathan Miller, Ryser Anne Joyner, Mallorie James, Jackson Riley Logsdon, Ryne McCrary, Julia Joyner and Cole McCrary. Roberta Elmore Simmons, age 84 of Wingfield, departed this life on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on June 20, 1937 to the late, Lennie and Virgie Logsdon Elmore. She was married to the late, Guy “Tootle” Simmons.
Roberta was a retired housekeeper with WKU, and was a member of Wingfield United Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory—three sons, Danny Simmons of Sandy Hook, Bobby Joe Simmons and Randy Simmons (Amanda) of Wingfield; two daughters, Christal Womack of Bowling Green and Brandy Simmons of Franklin; four grandchildren, Ashley Simmons, Robert Womack, Britiany Simmons and Jessie James and two great-grandchildren, Josh England and Ayler England. She was a former secretary for American Builders. Her greatest title was mother and grandmother. She was a member of Beechmont Woman's Club and also Tops#KY27. She treasured the many friends she made as she worked organizing events with these groups. She was also a lifelong faithful member of Hazelwood Baptist Church. While she passionately loved her family, many Sunday dinners were spent hosting and including seminary students or grandchildren's friends treating them like they were family.
The Louisville native was the youngest child of the late Charles D. Smith and the late Margaret Lanham Smith. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend of over 66 years, John Oscar Florence as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by three sons, Dr. John Florence (Vickie), Corydon, IN, Ted A. Florence (Betina), Brownsville, KY, Lee D. Florence (Tracey), Louisville, KY; six granddaughters, one grandson, fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Birch; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Raymer was born September 13, 1937 in Huff, Kentucky to the late Cova Wayne Raymer and Eula Francis Hardin Raymer.
Lloyd attended Sunfish High School and graduated from Kailua High School in Hawaii. A proud veteran, he also served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed as an instructor with Amtrak and retired after 30 years of service. Lloyd was an avid golfer and served as a ranger at Shady Hollow Golf Course. He deeply loved his family and cherished the moments they could spend together. Lloyd was a member of the Greenwood Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loletta Rodgers. The Cumberland County, KY native was born May 18, 1934 to the late Paul Young and Roxie Goodhue Young. She was married to Howard Richards, who also preceded her in death.

The Warren County native was born on September 16, 1926 to the late Dewey and Veva Willis Dwyer. He was married for seventy years to the late June E. Woosley Dwyer, who preceded him on death on December 12, 2020.
Vernon was a U.S. Army veteran, and served during World War II. He retired as a school teacher and principal at Sunfish, Edmonson County Middle School and numerous one room schools in Butler County. After his retirement, he enjoyed raising cattle and his life in the Big Reedy community. He was a member of Hunts Church of Christ and attended Big Reedy Church of Christ. He leaves to honor his memory—one daughter, Jenny L. Porter (Doug) of Beaver Dam; two sons, Mike Dwyer (Gloria) and Andy Dwyer both of Big Reedy; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Victor Dwyer, one sister, Verena Dwyer French and one son-in-law, Doug Porter. Interment will be in Big Reedy Church of Christ Cemetery. Paul retired from the U. S. Navy, where he served in the Vietnam era. He worked as a security guard for Pinkerton security, and was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church. He leaves to honor his memory— one brother, Chuck Harmon; one sister, Lottie Kennedy, along with several nephews and nieces. He is also preceded in death by one brother, John Harmon and three sisters, Sue Vaughn, Shirley Duncan and Hazel Crump.
