Kathleen Rajewich, 76, of Brownsville passed away at 5:23 AM June 25, 2022 at Edmonson Center.
 
The Galesburg, IL native was a homemaker and a genealogical researcher. She was a daughter of the late Hoyt Elmore and Magdaline Cook Elmore. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dean Rajewich; three half sisters, Mary Jane Embry, Betty Jean Elmore and Anna Lee Elmore; and a half brother, Emural Loyd “Red” Elmore.
 
No public services are scheduled. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Surviving are her husband Evon A. Rajewich Sr.; a daughter, Tammy Novitsky (Glen) of Gallatin, TN; a son, Evon Rajewich Jr. (Erin) of Prospect; a sister, Mary Francis Jackson (Kurt) of Glasgow; a half sister, Nanna lee Elmore; and a half brother, J.D. Elmore; two grandchildren, Mabel Rajewich and Wren Rajewich; and beloved nieces and nephew, Jennifer McNett, Ashley Jackson and Rob Jackson.

Kenny Hulsey, 72, of Rocky Hill passed away June 14, 2022 at his home.
 
The Edmonson County native was a truck driver and a Vietnam Era Army Veteran. He was the son of the late William Garner Hulsey and Alta Emmel Cosby Hulsey.
 
No public services are scheduled. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Surviving are his wife, Kim Hulsey; and two sons, Phillip Brion Hulsey and Charles Wesley Hulsey, both of Rocky Hill.

Evelyn V. Sanders, age 89, departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Edmonson Nursing and Rehab in Brownsville.   The Edmonson County native was born on December 2, 1932 to the late Gene and Hettie Kinser Vincent.

She was a retired factory worker of AMF Voit.  She attended Red Hill General Baptist Church and Hubsfield Holiness Church at a young age.    
 
She leaves to honor her memory— a son, Kenny Sanders of Bee Spring; one brother, Trenton Vincent; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Lynn Johnson, 57, of Brownsville passed away at 7:53 PM June 23, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
 
The Edmonson County native was a Hilltop Restaurant waitress and a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Alva Sowders and Barbara Sowash Sowders. She was preceded in death by a son, Jarriade Embry and a brother-in-law, Mark Goolsby.
 
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Threlkel Cemetery. Visitation will take place 12-6 PM Tuesday and after 10:00 AM Wednesday.
 
Surviving are two sons, Casey Sowders (Haley) and William Barnes both of Brownsville; a daughter, Haley Davidson (Jeffrey) of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Pattie Hall and Kay Goolsby both of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Conner Sowders, Charleigh Sowders, Carsen Sowders and Callie Sowders; two nephews, Jason Sowders and Harley Jessie; and a niece, Megan Sowders.

Norma Jean Bewley, age 88 of Smiths Grove, departed this life on Thursday, June 23, 2022. The Edmonson County native was born on December 29, 1933 to the late William Dewey and Alma Butram Hatler. She was married to James “Tinker” Bewley, who survives. 

She was a retired school teacher and taught for 50 years at the Edmonson County school system. She was a member of  Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

Besides her husband she leaves to honor her memory— brother, Buford Hatler of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Samantha Webb (Justin), Colby Smith (Gabby), and Aaron Bewley; two great-grandchildren, Michael Maverick Webb and Luke Olen Webb; one great-nephew, Cody Hatler; and two special daughter-in-laws, Patty Powers and Cindy Bewley.  She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Bewley.

Jimmie Wayland Colburn Sr., 82, of Roundhill passed away at 8:30 AM June 21, 2022 at Edmonson Center.
 
The Butler County native was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He was a son of the late Herbert Colburn and Kathleen Whittinghill Colburn and the husband of the late Ann Peterson Colburn. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Colburn Sr.; a brother, Jerry Colburn; and a sister, Gwen Royal.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Whittinghill Cemetery. Visitation will take place 1-6 PM Sunday and after 10:00 AM Monday.
 
Surviving are three sons, David Hammond (Marlessa) and Jimmie Wayland Colburn Jr. (Pam) both of Roundhill and Craig Colburn (Carol) of Bowling Green; a sister, Carolyn Seawright (Walt) of Louisville; six grandchildren, James Hammond, Mikey Colburn, Amanda Hammond, Cassy Scheckelhoff (Kirk), Jimmie Wayland “Trey” Colburn III (Caitlin) and Crystal Colburn; and four great grandchildren, Nyla, Thomas, Bowen, and Lindee.

​Rev. Herbert Donald Kidd, age 86 of Bowling Green, departed this life on Friday, June 17, 2022. The Wayne County native was born on June 30, 1935 to the late Carl and Emma Bell Kidd. He was married to Maple Bledsoe Kidd for 66 years until she preceded him in death on December 18, 2021. 

He retired from Warren County school system and was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church. 

He leaves to honor his memory— daughter, Brenda Kay Rice (Todd) of Bowling Green; son, Don Kidd of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Caleb Fife (Mikayla) of Smiths Grove and Ginger McOwen (Joshua) of Guthrie; great-grandchildren, London and Luke McOwen and brother, Ronald Lee Kidd of Lafayette, IN.

Lee Crowder, 61, of Smiths Grove passed away at 11:15 PM June 16, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
 
The Edmonson County native was a member of Vincent Church. He was a son of the late Charles F. Crowder and Carolyn Hayes Crowder. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Krista Vincent; a brother, Harold Crowder; and a sister, Lisa Gaye Crowder.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Vincent Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Monday at the church.
 
Surviving are his wife, Lynda Vincent Crowder; a daughter, Natasha Crowder (Alan Montgomery) of Park City, Derek Crowder (Sara Newton) and Austin Vincent (Samantha Pulley) both of Brownsville and Dillon Crowder (Siera Keene) of Bowling Green; a sister Betty Jo Davis (Steve) of Lindseyville; a brother Darren Crowder of Brownsville; 13 grandchildren, Garrett Minor (Jessie), Danny Scruggs Jr., Tiffany Scruggs (Hunter), Harley Brown, Chase Brown, Aliza Brown, Isaac Crowder, Callie Crowder, Jaylee Vincent, Jocelynn Vincent, Kataleana Vincent, Haskel Vincent and Savanna Crowder; a great grandson, Levi Minor; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and siblings-in-law.

Aubrey Grace Johnson gained her eternal angel wings on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.  She was the infant daughter of Ryan and Teylor Johnson of Brownsville. 

In addition to her loving parents, she is also survived by— her siblings, Lily, Reese, Brooks and Evie Johnson; maternal grandparents, Shane Watkins (Darenda) of Scottsville and Leann Watkins of Smiths Grove; paternal grandparents, Timmy Johnson (Denise) of Brownsville; maternal great grandparents, Charles and Reda Bray of Bowling Green and Larry and Debbie Lewis of Oakland and paternal great-grandmother, Gladys Miller of Sunfish. 

Interment will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.

Larry J. Richards, age 84, of Bowling Green passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at his residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on September 24, 1937 to late Autrey L.  and Donna Mayrine Lindsey Richards. He was married to Glenna Faye Richards, who survives.

Larry served in the United States Navy and was a former construction worker for Stewart-Richey and Division 9 Finishes.  Later on, he opened his own company, Richards Acoustical. He enjoyed singing and sang in several gospel quartets with his family. Larry was also know for making life-sized animal figures out of Dryvit for his grandchildren.  He was a member of Fairview United Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— three sons, Billy Richards and Bobby Richards both of Bowling Green, and Bryan Richards (Leanne) of Smiths Grove; six grandchildren, Ashley Meredith (John), Jennifer Vincent (Kyle), Adam Richards (Stephanie), Josh Richards (Tensley), Lauren Richards and Luke Richards; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Buford Richards, Overt Richards, Jimmie Richards (Kathy) and Tommie Richards (Lola); one sister, Oneda Simpson (Jerry).  He was preceded in death by his siblings Jerry Richards and Dottie Minton.

Interment will be in the Fairview Church Cemetery.

Billy Lee Sanders, age 80, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022, on the farm where he was born and raised. The Edmonson County native was born on April 24, 1942 to the late Reverend Charlie and Millie Highbaugh Sanders. He was married to Barbara Torralba Sanders, who survives.

Billy was a United States Air Force career veteran,  where he retired as Master Sergeant. After retirement, he went on to work for the Civil Service as a logistics plan specialist at Patrick Air Force Base Florida, and at the Edmonson County Corps of Engineers at Nolin Lake. He was a member of Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising a garden. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— three children, Reagan Jefferies (Benjamin) of Melbourne, FL, Jennifer Bean (Robert) of Mammoth Cave and Heath Sanders (Ashley) of Melbourne, FL; twelve grandchildren, Christina Patterson, Cailey Bean, Corey Bean, Alyssa Ware (William), Austin Masone, Kyle Sanders, Emily Sanders, Cole Pierce, Hunter Pierce, Zack Pierce, Nick Jefferies and Matt Jefferies; two great-grandchildren, James Patterson and Kendall Ware; three siblings, Betty Childress (Mike) of Munfordville, Cleo Brown (Bill) of Mammoth Cave and Oda Sanders (Rosalee) of Pig and a sister-in-law, Sandra Torralba. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Cora S. Turner, Daphna Sanders, Barbara Watt, Christine Gipson, Delta Sanders, Josie Taylor, Clarence Sanders, Japath Sanders and Duel Sanders.

The family wishes to especially thank his sister-in-law, Sandra Torralba, as well as the staff at Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Fred Newton, Shawn Smith, Amber Clark and Chaplain Todd Tarbett, for helping to admirably care for Billy with such dignity and compassion during his final days.

Interment will be in the Hill Grove Church Cemetery with military graveside honors by Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.

Belinda Gaye “Sandy” Vincent, 64, of Brownsville passed away June 1. 2022 at Tri-Star Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

The Edmonson County native was a retired owner/operator/florist of The Country Bouquet, gentlelady farmer/gardener, and photographer. She was a daughter of the late Charles Hobart Vincent & Opal Parsley Vincent. She is also preceded by a sister Shirley Anne Vincent Glass and two nieces Melinda & Rhonda Vincent. Sandy was a member of the Fairview United Baptist Church. Sandy loved caring for her dogs, flowers, and family.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place at 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Tuesday.
