​Audrey Maxine Sanders, 82, of Pendleton, KY passed away July 29, 2017, in Louisville, KY. The Park City, KY native was born on June 19, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Alton Reynolds and Golden Foster Gray. She was married to the late Beual “Jim Buck” Sanders.

Audrey was a distillery worker for Old Fitzgerald and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory one daughter, Pamela Scott (Myles) of Pendleton, KY; one sister, Flossie Smith of Genoa, IL; special friend, Joe King of LaGrange, KY; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two step fathers, Fred Beckner and Hershel Gray, and one sister, Juanita Jordan White.

​Pat Hagan, age 68, of  Rocky Hill, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Madison, TN.
She was a former owner of Southern Kentucky Pools and a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

Pat was born March 11, 1949 in Warren County, KY  to the late Don Robinson and Martha Keith Curtis and was married to the late Raymond Hagan, Sr.

She is survived  her fiancé, Eddie Groce of Smiths Grove, KY; one son, Raymond Hagan, Jr. (Carlet) of Rocky Hill, KY; one sister, Sue Robinson of Florida; three grandchildren, Logan Hagan, Scotty Hagan and Mason Hagan.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Earl Robinson.

Interment will be in Lambert Cemetery.

​Audrey Durbin Burke, 93, of Roundhill passed away at 6:40 AM Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Edmonson Center in Brownsville.
 
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late John R. Durbin and Sara Elizabeth Durbin and the wife of the late William J. Burke, Jr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Logsdon; five brothers, Lewis Durbin, James "Huke" Durbin, Basil Durbin, Norman Durbin and Terry Durbin; and a niece she raised as her own child, Connie Lavendar.
 
Visitation will be from 10 AM-12:00 PM Saturday August 5th at Gravil Funeral Home, with a funeral mass to follow at 1:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she was a member.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Rita Fowler (Joseph) of Roundhill; a nephew and niece she raised as her own, Keith Durbin (Rosalie) and Kim Polson (Tony); two grandchildren, Jay Fowler and Daren Fowler; and three great grandchildren, Eaden Fowler, Jaxon Fowler and Gage Fowler.

​John Bruce Patton, age 64, of Lakewood, CO. formerly of Edmonson Co., KY, departed this life on  Friday, July 21, 2017 in Lakewood. The Chicago, IL native was born on  January 3, 1953 to the late John Bruce Patton and  Helen Yeager Patton.

Theresa Borchardt, age 71, of Mammoth Cave, KY., departed this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Bowling Green. The San Francisco, CA. native was born on December 7, 1945, to the late Joe and Mayme Richardson Bajbek. She was married to Earl Raymond Borchardt, who survives.

Theresa was a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church and Edmonson county homemakers.

Besides her husband, She is survived by one son, Kenny Borchardt; one daughter, Danielle Conner (Shaune) of Mammoth Cave and one grandson, Shaune Thomas Conner II of St.Louis.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Borchardt and her stepfather, John Bajbek.

Richard Lee Moore, age 58, of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home in Brownsville, KY. The Benton Harbor, Michigan native was born on November 12, 1958, to the late J.W. Moore and Delores Elaine Mix Moore.

Richard was a former roofer for Geohagan Roofing and was a tribal member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

He was a former truck driver for Creek Trucking Co. and an Air Force Veteran.

Regenia Harrod Ray, age 66, of Bowling Green, KY, departed this life on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Bowling Green, KY. The Bowling Green, KY, native was born on January 23, 1951, to the late Clyde M. Harrod and Bessie Dalton Harrod. She was married to Gary N. Ray who survives.

Regenia was a Head Start teacher, Bus Driver and a Special Education assistant for the Edmonson County School system and was a homemaker. She was also a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Stacey Priddy of Bowling Green, KY, and Valerie Antle of Chalybeate, KY; three grandchildren, Devin Priddy, Breanna Bruce and Alexis Antle. She was also preceded in death by two half brothers, Coy Harrod and Billy Harrod.

Carolyn J. Houchin, age 73, of Park City, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence in Park City, KY. The Scottsville, Kentucky native was born on July 31, 1943. She was married to the late Ronnie Houchin.

Carolyn was a office clerk for the National Park Concessions and after retiring she went to work for Sumitomo Industries. She was also a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

​Betty Ann Minton Raymer, 81, of Brownsville passed away at 1:50 AM Sunday July 16, 2017 at Edmonson Care & Rehab Center.
 
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Asphalt Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Hobart Minton and Zona Vincent Minton and the wife of the late Eunell Raymer. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Eunell Raymer; a sister, Virgie Woosley; and four brothers, Cecil, Percy, Ray Max and Howard Minton.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 PM Tuesday and after 9 AM Wednesday.

Noah “Bill” Bledsoe, Jr. age 87, of New Grove, KY, departed this life on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Hart County. The Edmonson County, Kentucky native was born on August 9, 1929, to the late Noah Bledsoe, Sr and Lydia Hunt Bledsoe. He was married to Levenia Cassady Bledsoe who survives.

Noah was a farmer, a self employed launderer and a Korean War Army veteran. He was also a member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Dennis Bledsoe (Sandy) of New Grove, KY; two daughters, Judy Houchin (Keith) of Shadyland, KY, and Deborah Booker (Ronnie) of New Grove, KY; seven grandchildren, Chris Houchin, Beth Hawkins (Jarrod), Julie Richardson (Matt), Lee Anne Brisco (Blake) Todd Browning (Casie), Dee Rosado (Eric), Devon Bledsoe (Jessie) and ten great grandchildren; one step grandchild and three step great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Bledsoe (Helen); three sisters, Ruth Wingfield, Jean Cook (Jimmy), Betty Rae (Henry). He was also preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Shelby Richardson, five brothers and three sisters.

​Patricia Ann Lindsey Wolfe Baize, 64, of Bowling Green passed away at 8:00 AM July 14, 2017 at her residence.

The Louisville native was a Homemaker and a member of Madison Avenue General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late James Monroe Lindsey and Cordie May Burkhead Lindsey.

​Gerald A. Madison, age 79, of Macon, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his residence.  The Edmonson County, Kentucky native was born on August 3, 1937, to the late Everette and Lucille Madison.  He was married to his devoted wife and best friend of sixty-one years, Alice Mae Madison, who survives. 
​
Gerald moved his family to Georgia when he was a young man to continue his career with Brown & Williamson-- where he later retired as a supervisor. Upon moving to Georgia, he and some other family members, formed Barfield United Baptist Church, and he remained a faithful member, song leader and ordained deacon there until God called him home.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Gerald Wayne Madison (Pam) of Macon, GA, Brian Madison (Brenda) of Buffalo, MN and Regina Madison, of Macon, GA; six grandchildren, Amanda Madison Roland, Crystal M. Gross (Eric), Gerald W. Madison, Jr. (Angie), Brian Keith Madison, Joshua J. Spivey and Jonathan Spivey; seven great grandchildren, Brody, Emma, Trent, Alaina, Courtney, Brianna and Addy; six siblings, Gertie Minyard, John Gary Madison (Carla), Raymond Madison (Nancy), Anthony Madison (Pam),

​Elizabeth S. Miller, 87 of Bowling Green died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 .

The Edmonson County native was a daughter of the late Willie W. and Tilda Wilson Miller. She is preceded in death by a great-great granddaughter, one brother, one niece, one nephew. Liz was an employee for the National Clothing Store for 25 years, Woolworths for 14 years and Dollar General Store for 22 years. 

Her survivors include her son, Jackie Scruggs; one granddaughter, Jennifer Tarter; one great granddaughter, Laura Thomas; one great grandson, Shane Thomas; two great great grandsons, Landon Lindsey & Blaine Thomas; one brother, James Earl Miller; one sister, Nola Durham; three nieces.

​Helen Virginia Stice, 90, of Bowling Green- formerly of Brownsville- died peacefully in her sleep at  1AM Saturday July 8, 2017 at her home.

The Edmonson County native was born in the Buffalo community of what is now Mammoth Cave National Park and lived most of her life in the Fairview and Brownsville communities before her recent move. She was a former clerk for the Edmonson County Extension Service and Farm Bureau, was the registrar for Edmonson County Health Dept. for 31 years and was a lifelong member of Fairview United Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary for 54 years, before she began attending Silent Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late J.L. Stice and Clara Davis Stice and was loved for her sweet spirit and kindness.

Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Donald Webb at 1:00 PM Monday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday and after 9 AM Monday.

Surviving are her only sister, Eva Christine Stice; a special cousin, Bryson Davis, whom she called "our little boy"; her "little buddy", Ben Webb; and a host of cousins and friends.

​Bobbie Stinson, age 76, of Park City, KY, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Bowling Green. She was born March 1, 1941 in Pall Mall, TN., to the late Clarence Cline Delk and the late Vannie Ellen Crabtree Delk and was married to the late Tommy Stinson.

She was a former factory worker for Johnson Controls and Kellwood Manufacturing and attended Little Bethel Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory, two sons Ricky Stinson (Cara) of Cave City and Joey Stinson (Marsha) of Bowling Green; one sister, Marie Watkins of Livingston, TN; five grandchildren, Shawn Houchens (Caity), Jessica Houchens, Daniel Stinson (Melinda), Jordin and Marek Stinson; two great grandchildren, Bailey Estes and Gracie Estes. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vickey Houchens.

​David Lee Wells, 59, of Mammoth Cave passed away at 3:35 PM Sunday July 2, 2017 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
 
The Edmonson County native was a mower for Mammoth Cave National Park Service. He was the son of the late Gordon Wells and Ada Lindsey Caskey.

The Edmonson County native was a highway equipment operator for the Kentucky Highway Dept. and enjoyed attending auctions. He was a son of the late Unie Carder and Grace James Carder. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jesse Holloway and Alyssa Russell; and a son-in-law, Dwayne Holloway.
