![]() William (Willie) Loy Holmes 58, of Louisville KY died unexpectedly in Bowling Green, KY on August 28, 2017. Willie was born October 8th, 1958, to Joseph and Harriet Holmes (Harman) in Dover, Delaware. Soon thereafter, the family moved to Louisville, KY where Willie grew up and graduated from DuPont Manual High School. He will always be remembered for his sunny disposition. He greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word. Willie enjoyed fishing and never missed an opportunity to wet his line. She was born the daughter of Hubert and Lorene Sanders Cooke. Annell married Elwood Mudd August 18, 1957. To this union two daughters were born, Michelle Ann Mudd Higgins and Myra Elaine Mudd Swift. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Mudd and her parents, Hubert and Lorene Sanders Cooke. Annell professed faith in Christ at Beech Grove United Baptist Church in Shrewsbury, on July 18, 1951 in a revival held by Cortland Sanders and Elza Jaggers. She was baptized on August 12, 1951 by Elza Jaggers. She joined Beech Grove Church and remained a faithful member until death. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed Quilting, Crocheting and Genealogy. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. He was a loving husband, father and papaw and was loved by all.
