Donald Rayburn Luttrell, 79, of Brownsville passed away at 4:44 AM Thursday Aug. 23, 2018 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a farmer, a U.S Army veteran, a former member of the Edmonson County Saddle Club and a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James Duncan "J.D." Luttrell and Dora Pearl Houchin Luttrell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Wayne Luttrell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Brownsville General Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rayburn Luttrell Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, 2 PM-8 PM Tuesday and 9 AM-1:30 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Webb Luttrell; a daughter, Jacqueline D. "Jack" Luttrell-Greenwalt (Darren) of Brownsville; two brothers, Jim Luttrell (Sharon) and Gerald Luttrell both of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews. Aleen Hunt, 82, of Bee Spring passed away at 2:06 PM Aug. 15, 2018 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Christian Home General Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jim Farris and Mona Miller Farris and the wife of the late Joe Hunt. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Hunt; a grandson, Tommy Joe Vincent; and a brother, Earl Farris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bee Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday. Surviving are four daughters, Joyce Willis of Sweeden, Pauleen Jecker (Joe) of Jeffersonville, IN, Jonell Vincent (Tommy) of Bee Spring and Lisa McCoy (Rex) of Bowling Green; two sons, Jimmy Hunt (Linda) of Bee Spring and Eddie Hunt of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Roy A. McDougal, age 80, of Brownsville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his residence. The Kyrock native was born on November 8, 1937 to the late Mark McDougal and Rosie McDougal Harrison. He was married to his devoted wife of over sixty-years, Barbara Johnson McDougal, who survives.
Roy retired as a truck driver from Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Jaycees. He was also a former chairman of the Edmonson County Republican Party, and a member of Brownsville General Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory-- one son, Brad McDougal (Pat) of Brownsville; one daughter, Kelli Meredith (Greg) of Brownsville; three grandchildren, Elizabeth McDougal, Douglas Roy Hurt and Hunter Meredith; one great grandchild, Jack McDougal Swayne; one sister, Joan Skaggs (Clinton) of Sweeden and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Wayne McDougle, Bill McDougle and Mary Frances Ashley. Interment will be in Brownsville Cemetery. The McLean County native was a boilermaker and a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local Lodge 40. He was a son of the late Vollie McCain Sr. and Ada Mae Gray McCain. David) of Evansville; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Philip A. Toms, age 61, of Smiths Grove, KY departed this life on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was born on April 6, 1957 to Frankie and Olive Toms of Park City. He was married to his best friend, Jennifer Ashley Toms, who also survives.
Philip was employed by Windstream as a technician. He was a member of Barren County Bass Masters, National Fishing Lure Collectors Club and a member and trustee of Cedar Hill United Baptist Church. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves to honor his memory-- one brother, Neal Toms (Jennifer) of Park City; one sister, Patricia “Sissie” Jessie (Greg) of Bowling Green; his mother-in-law, Oneta Ashley; two aunts, Cheryl Harlow (Doug) and Ivil Saltsman; two uncles, James L. Meredith (Ruby) and Donald Ray Meredith; two sisters-in-law, Janis Langdon (Charles) and Teresa Simpson (Curt); four nephews, Adam Morgan (Tiffanie), Michael Toms, Matt Langdon (Lou Ann) and Kish Browning (Julie); three nieces, Lauren Bragg (Tyler), Heather Browning (Brian) and Michele Lindsey and several great nieces, nephews and dear friends. The Edmonson County native was born Oct. 17, 1967 in South Bend, IN. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a daughter of the late Roy Lee Willis and Mae Phelps Willis of Roundhill, who survives. She was also a care giver for Home Instead Senior Care, a member of Big Reedy Church of Christ and a 1985 graduate of Edmonson County High School. Also surviving are her husband, Joey Clark; two sons, Joey Clark II (Miranda) of Smiths Grove and Jordon Clark (Charlotte) of Glasgow; three sisters, Sherry Clark (Glendle) of Roundhill, Wanda Gregory (Robert) of Franklin and Gayle Hopkins (Mark) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Barrett, Eden, Asher, June and Hazel; a special beloved friend, Elaine Daugherty; and several nieces and nephews. Ruby Renfro Kinser, age 87, of Chalybeate, KY departed this life on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at her daughter’s home. The Edmonson County native was born December 2, 1930 to the late Henry Renfro and Idena Campbell Renfro. She was the loving wife of James “Bud” Kinser, who preceded her in death.
Ruby was a homemaker most of her life, and also worked as a supervisor at Kellwood Sewing Factory in Brownsville where she was surrounded by loyal, loving employees. She was a member of Chalybeate United Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory-- two daughters, Vicki Wood (Steve) of Chalybeate and Janet Webb (Frank) of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Lysette Daniels (Matt), Kelley Napier (Larry) and Dex Wood and three great grandchildren, Makenzie Daniels, Brycen Daniels and Lexey Napier. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Stewart and six brothers, Cecil Renfro, Conard Renfro, Marvis Renfro, Clifford Renfro, Julian Renfro and Ben Renfro. She leaves to honor her memory-- one brother, James Quinten Lindsey of Pig; one nephew, Josh Lindsey (Alicia); three nieces, Deanna Beasley, Bonita Hughes (Phil) and Shelly Lindsey and several great nephews and nieces.
