![]() Dennie Jaggers, 77, of Mammoth Cave passed away at 8:47 AM Sept. 29, 2016 at his home. The Edmonson County native was a carpenter and attended Cove Hollow United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Leo Jaggers and Ida Jane Poteet Jaggers. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Claydean Jaggers, Lennie Jaggers and Albert Jaggers; and a sister, Clorene Slaughter. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Stockholm United Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cove Hollow Cemetery. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought great joy to her life. She loved horseracing, NASCAR, flowers, playing cards and Bingo. Joan was born in Edmonson County, Kentucky on March 12, 1943 to the late Elbert and Orpha (Dyer) Elmore. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Dewey, Trenton, Rayburn, and Dale; two sisters, Wanda and Ella Jean; and one infant granddaughter, Brittney. He was born in Sweeden, Kentucky, on October 2, 1942, moving to Joliet, IL in 1967, after serving in the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed at Uniroyal, GM Electromotive, and Woodruff Golf Course. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years, Loretta, in 2001; and his parents, Pauline and Loren Pruitt. Mickey is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Greg) Sobiesk; stepdaughters, Barbara M’Lady, Donna (Earl) Hettman; cherished grandchildren, Mason and McKenzie Sobiesk, Marshall M’Lady, Scott (Deja) and Michael and Brett (Maggie) Hettman; one great-granddaughter, Presley Hettman. He is also survived by one sister, Charlotte (Chester) Carroll; his brothers, Ronald (Madeline) and Loren (Brenda) Pruitt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mickey was an avid golfer, enjoyed all sports but especially loved watching his grandchildren participate in their various sporting events. He loved life and enjoyed it to its fullest.
