​Wilma Doyle Logsdon Davis, age 79, of Louisville departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Baptist Health Hospital.  The Barren County native was born on January 30, 1939 to the late Clarence Doyle and Evy Bellamy Beckner.  She was married to Narvil “Doc” Davis, who survives. 

Wilma retired from Jefferson County Board of Education as an accountant. She was saved at the age of thirteen at Cedar Springs United Baptist Church,  where she remained a member until her death.  

Besides her husband, she leaves to honor her memory-- three sons, Darrell Logsdon (Rhonda) of Louisville, Kerry Logsdon (Diane) of Lebanon Junction, and David Logsdon (Amanda) of Bowling Green; one granddaughter, Melissa Logsdon-Young (Troy); two stepsons; Rondall Davis and Bill Davis; one step grandson, Ronnie Davis, Jr.; two step great grandchildren, Dakota Davis and Jasmine Davis; two sisters, Pearl Barbee of Brownsville and Joyce Jordan of Brownsville and several nieces and nephews.
  
Interment will be in Lambert Cemetery.

​Lama Logsdon, age 82, of Mammoth Cave departed this life on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born January 1, 1936 to the late Leslie Logsdon and Mary Jane Kerr Logsdon. He was married to Mary Glendola Dilly Logsdon, who also preceded him in death.

Lama was a supervisor for Bridgestone Tire Company, and was a member of Stockholm United Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory-- one brother, Leroy Childress (Leavia) of Mammoth Cave; one niece, Jennifer LeAnn Powell (Paul) of Mammoth Cave and two great nephews, Logan and Lennox Powell.

Interment will be in Wilkins Cemetery.

​Amy Michelle Conder, age 41, of Bee Spring, KY departed this life on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on December 23, 1976 to Sharon Kay Stewart, who survives.  She was married to her best friend and help mate, Chris Conder. 

Amy was a registered nurse, and a  member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church.  

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves to honor her memory-- four children, Madalyn, Jace, Jaren, and Jax Conder, all of Bee Spring; one sister, Sarabeth McWhorter (David) of Sweeden; one step sister, Amy Logsdon (Travis); grandmother, Mavis Stewart; father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Elaine Conder; four brothers-in-law, Thomas Conder (Karen), Steven Conder (Karen), Anthony Conder (Anita) and Jesse Conder; one uncle, Kenny Stewart (Kay) ; one aunt, Vicki Weaver and niece, Morgan McWhorter.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Stewart and brother, Anthony Stewart.

​Deward J. Clark, Sr., age 84, of Brownsville, KY departed this life on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home. The Edmonson County native was born February 2, 1934 to the late William Clark and the late Mora Burns Clark. He was married to Catherine Denham Clark, who also preceded him in death.

Deward was a tiler for Mid State Tile. He was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory-- one son, Richard D. Clark (Bridget) of Cave City; four grandchildren, Gabriel Clark, Ashley Freeman, Billy Clark and Christy McFadden; several great grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, Homer Denham, Walton Denham (Wanda) and Buel Elmore and one sister-in-law, Debbie Denham. Deward was preceded in death by two sons, Deward “Juddy” Clark, Jr. and Donald L. Clark and one sister, Hanna Denham.

​Wade Denham, age 61, of Smiths Grove, KY departed this life on Monday, September 17, 2018 at his residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on August 8, 1957  to the late Wilton Jimmy and Mary Thomas Denham.  He was married to Debbie Denham, who survives. 

Wade was self employed as a farmer and worked for Purdue Farms for twenty years. He was a member of Woodland United Baptist Church. 

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory-- one daughter, Jennifer Jaggers (Micah) of Smiths Grove; two step daughters, Cheri Lindsey (Jason) of Bee Spring and Amy Minyard of Park City; four grandchildren, Zac Lindsey, Daniel Minyard, Carter Minyard, Levi Tucker and one brother, Walton Denham (Wanda) of Plano. He was preceded in death by his step son, Fielden Thomas Webb and two sisters, Carol Elmore and Catherine Clark.

​Rickey H. Jordan, age 64, of Brownsville, KY departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018  in Bowling Green, KY.  The Barren County native was born on January 30, 1954 to the late Harold Newby Jordan and Thelma Joyce Doyle Jordan of Brownsville.   

Rickey was a former employee of Holley Carburetor, Southern States and Country Oven Bakery. He was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.  

Besides his mother, he leaves to honor his memory-- two daughters, Stacey Jordan of Bowling Green and Jennifer Jordan of Louisville; two sisters, Kay Hurt (Mark) of Smiths Grove and Cheryl Sanders (Simon) of Brownsville along with several nieces and nephews.

​Eveline S. Johnson, age 82, of Sunfish, passed away Sunday, (September 16, 2018) at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
 
She was born on August 16, 1936 in Sunfish, KY, the daughter of the late William Harvey and Cicly Hayes Stewart.
 
She retired as a sewing machine operator, working there for over 30 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, sewing, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and all children. She was a member of the Independence Slate Bank General Baptist Church since 1982.
 
She is survived by her children, Timmy Johnson of Brownsville, Tammy Kay Blair (Tim Brewster) of Ollie, and Kathy Sue Dennis (Damon) of Sunfish; seven grandchildren, Heather Yokum, Nicholas Blair, Ryan, Kevin, and Michael Johnson, Savannah Roof and Courtney Decker; eight great-grandchildren; brother, William Earl Stewart of South, sisters, Jeanetta Hardin and Cora Meredith both of Louisville, and Rosanna White of Leitchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Lee Johnson, brother, Shirley Stewart and the father of her children, Elmer Johnson.
 
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, (September 20, 2018) at the Independence Slate Bank General Baptist Church. Bro. Neal Carnes and Bro. Dagwood Huff will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, with services following at the church.

​Howard Wayne Jones, 65, of Roundhill passed away at 4:59 PM Friday Sept. 14, 2018 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.
 
The Jefferson County native was a welder for L & N and CSX Railroads and a member of Pine Knob Baptist Church in Caneyville. He was the son of the late Howard Jones and Margaret Ann Denkhoff Jones.
 
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM (CDT) Thursday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Threlkel Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Tuesday, 9 AM-8 PM Wednesday and after 9 AM Thursday.
 
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Davis Jones; three sons, Hardie Jones (Amanda) of Roundhill, Terry Jones (Rebecca) of Brownsville and Jimbo Jones (Shannon) of Morgantown; three daughters, Jenny Chavez of Smiths Grove, Lelia Jones (Bobby) of Brownsville and Laura Jones (Dave) of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.  Go Big Blue!

​Margie E. Johnson Saling, 82, of Bee Spring passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 9:20 AM Monday Sept. 10, 2018 at the Grayson Manor at Leitchfield.
 
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker.  She was a daughter of the late Jim and Dulcie Basham Johnson and the wife of the late Duane Saling.  She was preceded in death by three children; Roxanne Bell, Gary Saling, Patricia Saling; four brothers and two sisters.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thurday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Saling-Vincent Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-9 PM Wednesday and after 9:00 AM Thursday.

​Kathy O. Cooper, age 63, of  Smiths Grove, KY, departed this life on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her residence. The Maynard, AR native was born on May 28, 1955 to the late Benjamin Nimow Johnson and Elzada Ozella Toy Johnson. She was married to the late Gary D. Cooper.

Kathy was a housewife and former member of  the Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Dept.,  and an election poll volunteer for Rocky Hill.

She leaves to honor her memory— her fiancé , Tony Lawless of Smiths Grove; one daughter, Michelle Brown (Chris) of Wingfield; one son, Andrew Lawless(fiance’ Christina Sanderson) of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, Shauna Bane (fiance’ Robert Peck), Tyler Brooks (fiance’ Amber Lindsey), Riley A. Lawless, Keaton Lawless and Tyler Massey; two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Allen Brooks and Kinleigh Rae Brooks.  She was also preceded in death by two great grandchildren and two brothers, Darrell and Gary Johnson.

​Darrell Dennis, age 70, of  Mammoth Cave, KY departed this life on Friday, August 31, 2018  in Louisville, KY.  The Hart County native was born on July 6, 1948 to the late Elbert Dennis and Alma Wilson Dennis of Mammoth Cave.   

Darrell was a supervisor at Mammoth Cave National Park, a retired Army veteran, a Kentucky Colonel, and member of Nisbet Alexander Memorial Post # 6937 VFW and Union Light Missionary Baptist Church. 

Besides his mother, he leaves to honor his memory-- two daughters,  Kristi Dennis of Alexandria, KY and Haley Dennis of Munfordville, KY and three sisters, Debra Carroll (Ricky) of Mammoth Cave, KY,  Lori Rone (Steve) of Bowling Green, KY and Dana Sue Dennis of Mammoth Cave, KY.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Dennis, Billy Dennis and an infant brother.
