Bonnie Anita Vincent, 67, of Bee Spring passed away Monday Sept. 27, 2021 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a member of Roundhill Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Eddie Vincent and Trula Carroll Vincent and the wife of the late Richard Vincent. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Billie Rose Cook, Margaret Bratcher, Becky Higdon and Janet Vincent; and three brothers, Elmer Ray Vincent, Homer Vincent and Kenny Vincent. Tammy Cowles Cole, age 51 of Smiths Grove, peacefully departed this life on Monday, September 27, 2021 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on April 10, 1970 to Richard and Patricia Cowles of Chalybeate.
Tammy was the branch manager and lender at Hancock Bank and Trust. She was a 1988 graduate of Edmonson County High School, a Leadership Edmonson County Alumni and a member of Fairview United Baptist Church. Tammy also volunteered with Kids on the Block, Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society Fur Ball and CASA Boogie Down Bourbon Street. Josh and Tucker were her life. From the time they started in little league, until their last game of high school, Tammy was actively involved in supporting her boys and their ECHS Wildcat teammates in band, football, baseball and basketball. She was an officer of the ECHS Band, Football, Baseball and Basketball Boosters for numerous years, and selflessly volunteered her time to encourage and support all their games, fundraisers and activities. Besides her parents, she leaves to honor her memory— her sons, Joshua Violi of Bowling Green and Tucker Cole (Hannah) of Wingfield; her brother, Richard “Dicky” Cowles (Tammy) of Chalybeate; her beloved fur baby, Axel, along with a multitude of friends and extended family members. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on March 26, 1977 to Karen Logsdon Phillips of Danville, who survives, and the late John Edgar Lindsay. He was a grandson of the late George Lindsay Sr. and Gustava “Gussie” Westerfield Lindsay. Nathan attended Boyle County High School and was a Mechanic at Smart Lube in Danville. He was the best and most honest mechanic around; everything he did involved cars. Nathan enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was a loyal, lifetime friend and was always quick witted with jokes. Nathan loved his children and his family. He was a faithful son. Services will be private. Burial will take place in Mt. Jeff was born on May 30, 1960 at Tyndall Air Force Base in Bay County, FL to the late Jimmy and Evonia Stice. He was married to his help mate and dearest friend, Stacey, on July 15, 2016.
Although Jeff was an accomplished gospel music pianist, he was proud of his heritage and the journey that lead him to much success. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but very humble and devout in his faith, to his family and his University of Kentucky Wildcats. He graduated from Edmonson County High School in 1978, and later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Louisiana Baptist University. As a young Christian, Jeff joined Pleasant Union United Baptist Church, and in most recent years, he became a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. God blessed Jeff with the spiritual gift of music and allowed him to share his talent with others throughout the world. He started his career when he very young, playing the bass guitar for a local family quartet, The Tomes Four. He later started playing the piano for his dad’s quartet, The Harvest Time Singers. The word quickly spread about Jeff’s amazing talent, and he was offered a job playing for the renowned group, The Blackwood Brothers. He later joined The Rex Nelon Singers, and he considered himself a member of their musical family until his passing. Jeff has played for the legendary Oak Ridge Boys and Louise Mandrell. He was a piano instructor for The Charles Novell School of Music at Murray State University, the Steve Hurst School of Music at Lee University and was a Past President for the Southern Gospel Music Association. Jeff was a founding member of two award-winning quartets, Perfect Heart and Triumphant Quartet. During this time, he earned national recognitions which included Southern Gospel Music Guild—Musician of the Year, Southern Gospel Musician of the Year and Favorite Musician from the Singing News, along with numerous Dove and Grammy Award nominations. He was also inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Southern Gospel Piano Roll of Honor and the Edmonson County Singing Convention Hall of Fame. Of all his accomplishments, Jeff was most proud of his family. Dee Dee served in the United States Air Force as a medic from 1984 to 1989. Prior to her illness, she worked as a registered nurse at Tri Star Greenview Regional Hospital, and as a clinical instructor for Western Kentucky University. No matter the setting or situation, Dee Dee always wore a beautiful smile, and her presence would light up any room. Dee Dee was saved as an adult at Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, and later moved her membership to Liberty Hill “Dripping Springs” Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her death. Pamela worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Carroll Brothers Used Cars. She also worked in her home and selflessly cared for the needs of her children. She was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory-- her daughter, Rachel Carroll (Kyle) of Bee Spring; two sons, Nicholas Carroll (Nora) and Matthew Carroll all of Bee Spring; three grandchildren, Lilly, Lucy and Crosby Carroll and three sisters, Patricia Madison, Sue Baker (Rod) and Georgeann Backer (Jim). Bettie Poteet, age 74 of Wingfield, KY departed this life with her family by her side on Friday, September 3, 2021 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on August 1, 1947 to the late Curtis and Camilla Todd Johnson. She was married to her devoted husband of sixty years, Oren E. Poteet, who survives.
Bettie retired as a shipping supervisor from Lord Corporation. She was a member of Shadyland Church of Christ. Besides her husband, she leaves to honor her memory— two children, Bobby Poteet (Kim) and Penny Poteet all of Wingfield; five sisters, Doris Hawks, Judy Davenport, Martha Massey, Darlene Elmore (Brent) and Arlene Perkins (Jonathon) and a sister-in-law, Reda Sullivan. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Jesse, William, Darrell, Leon, Harold and Larry Johnson. Interment will be in Boiling Springs Church of Christ Cemetery. The Edmonson County native was a son of the late Roscoe and Flossie Hawks Vincent. He is preceded in death by three brothers, R G Vincent, Albert Vincent, and Ernest Cowles; four sisters, Imogene Kinser, Charlene Dale, Grace Hyde and Eva Grenci. Owen was a tow motor operator at Firestone, a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church, Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 and served in the US Air Force. His survivors include his wife of 62 years Lova Holder Vincent; a son, Toby Vincent (Vickie); a daughter, Cherman Keown (Jerry); six grandchildren, Chad Patton, Brooke Morris (Ashley), Nathan Vincent (Kristen), J B Keown (Jessica), Brady Keown (Brittany) and Meaghan Jones (Chris); 10 great grandchildren; Liam, Lincoln, Annalee, Claire, Evie, Quinn, Emma, Chipper, Pipper, Gavin; three brothers, Richard Vincent (Elaine), Ashby Vincent (Anna Mae) and Gillis Vincent; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday with Masonic service at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Wingfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request donation be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Cynthia Campbell, age 60, of Louisville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The Jefferson County native was born on August 29, 1961 to Reba Hensley Strong and the late Harry Strong. She was married to Ricky Campbell, who survives.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired as a carpenter, and was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. He leaves to honor his memory— two daughters, Pam Tinsley (Russell) of Franklin and Regina Jackson Alexander (Michael) of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Blake Alexander, Stephanie Rouster, Rita Logsdon, Tabatha Logsdon, Cody Logsdon and Keeley Pierce (Corey); three great-grandchildren, Chrissy Garrett, Ava Garrett and Ryker Jake Alexander; two sisters, Audrey Age of Cave City and Jeanne Carmen (Mike) of Bowling Green and several extended family members, including Barry Lay and Teresa Davis. Ernest Junior retired as a printess from Queen’s Printing Company. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Blue Lodge and a Shriner. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Ernest J. Wallace (Kathy) of Park City and Darla Boyden (Tony) of Glasgow; ten grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Molten Anderson Wallace (Brenda) of Louisville and one sister, Darlene Wallace of Park City.
