He served in the Marines and was of the Baptist faith. The Edmonson County native was a disabled US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a Baptist. He was a son of the late Fred Thomas Houchin and Delphia Grubbs Houchin. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddy Houchin, Garnett Houchin and Woody Houchin. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
